"Lomidhigh Unlmtd is a platform for non-earthly music and frequencies from distant galaxies, that has echoed down onto us here at planet earth. The label aims to release music that knows no boundaries. To create a home for a label that doesn't contain itself to one genre or time. Music that experiments and pushes its own limits into new and undiscovered musical territories. Taking influences from the past, and presenting them in a new form. Lomidhigh Unlmtd has its sights set on the endless limits of the universe, in which it can roam freely and not be contained by gravity or any other earthly presence. The main concept behind the label is to not pigeonhole itself. Its aim is to give record stores a rough time deciding which genre to put the releases under. At a time where the world is in dire shape, we feel its time to get away from the world and float into outer space. Once named the final frontier, the universe knows no limits. The perfect place to surf through the Milky Way to distant galaxies, to hear moments of the past echoing into the future. Lomidhigh Unlmtd is stoked to present its first release. Monotax's debut, the Argentinian band formed by Dilo (aka Elephant Pixel), Imi and Zooey. Together they blend indie rock, electronica and hip-hop, adding their own secret spices. On the A-side we have 'Poxilana,' a glitchy, poppy, sweet track. Ernesto Ferreyra (Mutek, Cynosure) remixes it, taking the vocals of the original and putting in a Latin minimal house environment. On the B-side, 'KM De Cables' is a very good example of what Monotax's dreamy trips are made of. Jay Haze takes care of remixing it, and makes it suitable for the dancefloor, adding his spacey funk and house treatment, somewhere between a gay Talking Heads and heavy disco-fever mind-fuck."
