"This EP has been over 8 years in the making, originally stemming from a friendship and subsequent session between Bernd Jestram (Tarwater) and Phillip Hertz (Peabody & Sherman) in Bernd's Bleibeil studio in Berlin in 1996. One of these tracks was later modified by adding a vocal track from Kat of Dutch band The Ex. Flash forward to the fall of 2004, the new Bleibeil studio in Berlin, and the fortunate alignment of the original duo, with Curis Ruptash (the other half of Peabody & Sherman) and associate PS Engel on German Reunification day (notice the fireworks at the end of the track). 48 hours later two versions of this track were finished. Some months later back in Chicago adjustments are made via the Wayback Machine and the P&S remix is born. The results are take a bit from jazz, easy listening, dub, blues, funk, all shaped and molded in the digital realm."
