"Memorie (1969) was the last Pooh's album released by Vedette Records, before they moved on to CBS. The previous year the record label released a compilation of singles without asking any permission from the band, creating the basis for a break between the musicians and Vedette. Driven by the successful 45 single 'Mary Ann,' the album is a concept about an individual who's always in search of himself: at the end of his life, he looks back into his memories, regretting not having acted differently in the past. The same LP liner notes, written by the band, explain how the concept album model was adopted after the group's music was defined too much as commercial and mediocre. Memorie is still affected by the beat era sounds, but also contains some of the pop elements that became I Pooh's trademark. Enclosed in a beautiful gatefold cover, a replica of the original version, the LP is here enhanced by the 7" single 'Nel buio/Cose di questo mondo' (1967), in its rarest alternate cover version. The 7" also features a Van Morrison's Them cover song and a track released on Contrasto as 'Il buio mi fa paura.'"
