It was therefore inevitable that he would appear on Soul Train, America's leading TV showcase for soul, funk and R&B acts, broadcast on WCIU-TV. This album presents the entire original WCIU-TV broadcast of two stupendous performances captured on February 10th 1973 and September 14th 1974, showcasing material from his remarkable back catalog, as well as his hugely popular The Payback LP (1973).
