Unequal Equality features tracks made in collaboration with Ware label boss Mathias Schaffhäuser and various artists, including Ware staples like Benjamin Brunn, And.Id, Markus Güntner, Ziggy Kinder, and Schaffhäuser's long-time hero Alex Smoke, and also new ones such as Lucy and Xhin from Singapore (both with releases on Meerestief Rec.) and the extremely talented Argentinean IDM musician, Fabrice. Some collaborations were done online, and some were accomplished in person -- regardless, this is a seamless cross-section of Schaffhäuser's ability to transmogrify and unify. "2 Ton/3 Ton" is a special track: based on a piece by Ursula Bogner, it was discovered by Jan Jelinek posthumously. Despite the fact that this is a collection of various artists, Unequal Equality is Schaffhäuser's most homogeneous and well-blended album to date -- a quintessence of his work in the cosmos of minimal techno house since 1994 and the multiple and versatile input of all partners involved. Also including work by Fabrice and Midinovela.
