"For the first time on CD, the best of Tim Hollier's songs. This English singer/songwriter, although not yet well known other than by collectors, has left behind a few precious albums, and with his own help we have chosen the best ones for this overdue retrospective. After a few years spent studying and playing in North England, Tim Hollier moved to London in the mid '60s: he began to play with Canadian guitarist Rick Cuff, opening for well known acts like Jo-Ann Kelly, Roy Harper and even Paul Simon. There are no weak songs on this release, but tracks like 'Seagull's Song,' 'Maybe You Will Stay,' the adventurous 'Llanstephan Hill' and 'Evening Song' (which is reminiscent of the best of Tim Buckley) deserve a special mention. A comprehensive selection of Tim Hollier songs, taken from the three LPs."
