"Behind this extraordinary retrospective release stands two musicians from Portland, OR: Jeff Sanger and Alexa Marmon. John See's Lilly, their debut, is certainly a psychedelic gem and introduces the world to the mystic and creative To Get Her Together which carries the influence of Syd Barrett, Donovan's psychedelic period featuring a great cover version of his 'Clarence In Wonderland' and Joe Meek all rolled into one. They create a sound that sums up a scene from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Jeff is an emotive songwriter and singer taking you through a journey into his mind full of musical twists and turns with acoustic guitar rhythms over hypnotic drum and bass to tunes with electric overdrive mindblowing fuzz. Equipment used such as a 1930s David Bogen amplifier, vintage organs and effects, and analog equipment ultimately reward the listening experience. The song 'Jovial Tree' can be heard on Trip In Time Vol.2 (Psychedelic Rock Reflections) and is celebrated highly. Here is the full album with 16 songs.
