As a teenager in New York in the late '60s,
Velvert Turner
realized the dream of countless aspiring guitarists when he befriended and received tuition from
Jimi Hendrix
. Blending acid rock, funk and soul, his only LP originally appeared in July 1972, and has been described as the greatest Hendrix-inspired album ever released. Both original mixes are presented here (for the first time), and the 2CD set comes complete with biographical liner notes. Housed in a gatefold card wallet.
