"Wonder is the uber-producer the underground has been keeping secret for the past five years. A founding member of Roll Deep, Wonder soon left the collective to walk his own path -- Welcome To Wonderland is the tapestry of the journey that followed. Perhaps best known for producing Dizzee Rascals 'Respect Me' (Showtime) and being commissioned by XL Recordings for the remix of Prodigy's 'Voodoo People,' Welcome To Wonderland is Wonder's debut album. It showcases his ability to fashion claustrophobic atmospheres with commodious patterns and is peppered with brilliant guests including Mobo award winning Sway, 679's wunderkind Kano, and 'Booty La La' songstress Mpho Skeef. Bread & Roses Remix, is one example of Wonder's understanding of aural ananda, splicing Mr Hudson's vocals to subtly devastating effect, but listening to a Wonder production is like eavesdropping on a heated conversation between planets, so whilst each of the vocalled tracks could be released as a single in their own right, instrumentals like 'Take Two' kidnap your imagination and -- with the right speakers -- take you on a four-and-a-half minute journey beyond the realms of normality. Earning his stripes on legendary pirate station Rinse FM, Wonder has built up a huge following. He's toured the United States as Dizzee Rascals' 'Showtime' tour DJ, and travelled the length and breadth of Europe playing all the nooks and crannies between dubstep, grime and Theo Parrish-inspired house. It was at Rinse FM that Wonder hooked up pioneer producer/DJ Geeneus, who is releasing Wonder's album on his imprint, Dumpvalve. Wonder, sought after by labels including XL Recordings, reforms a relationship first forged with Dumpvalve in 2004 with the release of 'What,' which is better known to the masses as the instrumental for Dizzee Rascal's 'Respect Me.' This album represents the time for Wonder to shine in his own right."
