Delayed until 2026... "A massive photographic archive of Lee 'Scratch' Perry's legendary recording studio. A 600-page tribute to one of the most famous locales in music history, Black Ark is a detailed inventory of photographs and writings from the Black Ark Studios in Kingston, Jamaica, where producer Lee 'Scratch' Perry created music from 1973 onward. The eclectic and constantly evolving decoration of the studio provides an enduring visual counterpart to Perry's expansive musical catalog. From mural paintings to shape-shifting assemblages of records, instruments, found objects, posters and newspaper clippings, the artworks layer upon one another as they intertwine with the studio building itself. Perry created his own dense and diverse world in which to work: memorialized in this volume before the Black Ark disappears for good. The photographic documentation of the studio in the spring of 2021 was supplemented by efforts to secure and preserve Perry's works, objects and recordings as part of a joint project with the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. Black Ark reflects the rhythm and layering effects of collage both in its content and the materials used to craft the book. Perry was involved in the development of this publication until his death in August 2021. The book closes with memorial essays from Ishion Hutchinson, David Katz, Kodwo Eshun, and John Corbett. Lee 'Scratch' Perry (1936-2021) was a musician and producer best known for pioneering the dub genre in the 1970s. He worked with well-known Jamaican artists such as Bob Marley and the Wailers, the Heptones, the Congos, and Max Romeo. In 2003 he won a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album."

Delayed further... until early 2026.."Pioneering media artist and concrete poet Ferdinand Kriwet's 1971 cult artist's book in a facsimile edition. A monumental, three-volume encyclopedia of alphabetically organized images, Ferdinand Kriwet: Stars was first published by Kiepenheuer & Witsch in 1971. In the 1960s, German author and media artist Ferdinand Kriwet (1942-2018), inspired by concrete poetry and its interest in the visual quality of linguistic signs, began to approach the literary medium of the book in a new way. Imagining new ways of reading that resisted linearity, Kriwet experimented with alternatives, encouraging a rapid back-and-forth between the pages of the book and the texts and images on them. In Stars, he treats images like words and arranges them in alphabetical order in an epic encyclopedia format. For years, Stars has only been available, at considerable cost, in antiquarian book catalogs. This new facsimile edition of Ferdinand Kriwet: Stars brings Kriwet's pioneering vision and his seminal book back into print." 416 pages. 2.5 pounds. 5.50(w) x 8.75(h).

RELEASE DATE: 1/20/2026
Paperback. 150 pages. "One of the towering figures of 20th-century art holds forth on his controversial life and career in a previously unpublished set of interviews. Over six sessions between September 1951 and November 1952, Marcel Duchamp sat down with collectors and gallerists Harriet and Sidney Janis for a wide-ranging conversation about his inspirations and working processes, and his many opinions on the workings of the modern art world and its histories. The Janises, owners of the influential Sidney Janis Gallery, were ardent supporters of modern art and close friends with Duchamp. Harriet, an accomplished author, led the interviews with an eye toward writing a monograph on Duchamp, though this was never realized. Now, this previously unknown chronicle is available for the first time through the efforts of Carroll Janis, Sidney and Harriet's son. Under Harriet's expert guidance, Duchamp holds forth on his artistic philosophies, his career, his friends, his rivals and his lifelong obsession with chess. He provides an inside look at some of his most famous works, from his controversial 'Readymades' to 'The Large Glass.' Contextualized with illustrations, annotations and an introduction by Carroll Janis, this publication is a rich treasure trove of information on one of the 20th century's most controversial, groundbreaking and larger-than-life artists. Marcel Duchamp (1887-1968) dismantled the boundaries of what constitutes a work of art. Although he began his career as a painter, Duchamp was also a curator, conservator, art advisor, professional chess player, writer, inventor and celebrity. Following the completion of his conceptual masterpiece, 'The Large Glass' (1915-23), he abandoned traditional artmaking altogether. Today he is best known for his 'Readymades' -- ordinary objects such as a urinal or bicycle wheel, elevated to works of art -- which challenged traditional aesthetics and redefined authorship."

Delayed... "Duke Ellington was one of the most important and influential figures in the entire history of jazz, as pianist, bandleader, composer and innovator, his career spanned the evolution from the early days of electric recording. However, while critics and commentators focus on his over-arching significance as a giant of the medium, it's easy to forget that he was a genius at composing tune and songs for the medium of the three-minute, 78rpm single, and during the first three decades of his career before rock 'n' roll changed the pop landscape irrevocably, he had more than 70 records that were credited as chart hits. The Duke himself preferred not to have his work referred to as 'jazz' but liked people to see it as he himself saw it, as being 'beyond category,' simply 'American music.' In a career lasting six decades, he attracted the very best musicians to his orchestras, and gifted to the world many of the jazz standards we know and love today This LP brings together some of his most iconic compositions, including timeless classics such as the Billboard R&B No.1 'Don't Get Around Much Anymore,' alongside stalwarts of the jazz canon 'Mood Indigo,' 'Sophisticated Lady,' 'Solitude,' 'Caravan,' 'Take The 'A' Train,' and 'It Don't Mean A Thing (If You Ain't Got That Swing).' It's a fantastic insight into his most successful output during a primary era of his career, and a great showcase for the artistry which made the Duke such a revered and iconic personality."

In a career spanning seven decades, he sold in excess of 50 million records, won 20 Grammy Awards, and played alongside artists such as Bono, Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, and Stevie Wonder. A hard-working musician, King toured the world several times over, taking his extraordinary blues from the margins to the mainstream. His emotional and sophisticated soloing on his Gibson guitar, 'Lucille,' coupled with his subtle vibrato style, influenced a diverse range of artists, including, Keith Richards, Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Richie Sambora, and even 50 Cent. This fine collection brings together some of King's greatest early blues numbers. From his first hit single, 'Three O'Clock Blues,' timeless tracks such as 'Woke Up This Morning' and 'Everyday I Have The Blues,' the epic double sider 'Sweet Sixteen' finishing with his early sixties classics, 'Someday' and 'Peace Of Mind.' King was a pioneer from the very beginning, with this collection demonstrating just why the British blues bands of the late sixties revered him as a guitar god. King was inducted into the Blues Foundation Hall Of Fame in 1984, the Rock 'n' Roll Hall Of Fame in 1987, received the National Academy of the Recording Arts and Sciences Lifetime Achievement Award and awarded the Presidential Medal of the Arts in 1990. In 2006 he received the Medal of Freedom, America's highest civilian honor."

RELEASE DATE: 11/21/2025
Following the skewed-unself-help-brilliance of Sus Dog (which marked his first full foray into songs, abetted by Thom Yorke), and its companion piece Cave Dog, Chris Clark returns to the dancefloor's simple, but no less affecting pleasures, with Steep Stims. Steep Stims marks a back-to-basics approach, invoking the early years of gung-ho creativity enforced by limitations in technology at the time. Made quickly, Steep Stims reflects the immediate rave energy of his live show, but that's not to say it's basic floor fodder, as it's rife with personality, synth magic, and knack for melody. Although swift and impressionistically captured rather than labored over, it's still formidably deft, with plenty of oddball weirdness lurking beneath the dancefloor. Soft, orange, scorched, brutal, the opening track "Gift and Wound" captures the classic dance music dread/awe/euphoria combo perfectly, before "Infinite Roller" merges sparkly-minimalism with snarling bass and soft sines, which turn more-dense and metallic as it progresses. The melancholic smoke belch of "No Pills U" gives strong classic vibrations, which is belied by its creation, made in just 20 minutes. Drumless, yet still full of exhilarating-big-trance-drama, "Who Booed The Goose" flashes by in stroboscopic fast forward, then "5 Millionth Cave Painting" gives a palate cleanser, letting "the virus with its delicious broken, luxurious reverb have a moment," before "Negation Loop" swoops down in all its glory, with Clark's tweaked vocals leading deconstructed trance breakdowns, tape edits and brutal noisebursts. An antidote to the bombast of its predecessor is "Micro Lyf," which closes the set on a poignant note, of sorts. Muted staccato gives way to field recordings "that gradually put it in this outside space; alien in a meadow somewhere nameless. It feels like a sinkhole. The record kinda swallows itself up and then is gone", ends Chris.

RELEASE DATE: 11/21/2025
1985 was a landmark year for punk rock in the Basque country, and possibly for the whole of Spain. Punk merged with the Basque Radical Rock (Rock Radikal Vasco or RRV) movement, although this was not necessarily always the case. For instance, Eskorbuto invariably kept their distance from the movement and everything related to it. Hardship was part and parcel of Eskorbuto's life and musical career. All their albums were recorded in the shortest time imaginable, partly due to tight budgets (studios were expensive, labels were close-fisted), and partly because Josu and Jualma needed to spend the money on other things. When it came to recording Anti Todo, Eskorbuto stuck to what they did best: hitting the studio with as much raw energy, provocation, inspiration, and natural talent as possible. It was their best record and it begs the question: what would Eskorbuto have been capable of if they had more time, a bigger budget, and tighter control? The song "Tamara" was practically composed on the spot in the studio in less than two recording days, as was much of "Ha llegado el momento." The experienced sound technician did an outstanding job, but a new remastering for this rerelease has given the album the richer, more vibrant sound it always deserved. Listeners can once again enjoy the urgency, simplicity, and rage of this refreshed Anti Todo, a true classic in musical history, originally released in 1985 at Eskorbuto's peak of their creativity and energy.

LP version. Pilot is the debut album from London quintet Miniseries. Channeling the epic sweep of TV themes and movie soundtracks into resplendent space rock they explore themes of youth and ageing, heartbreak and paranoia, euphoria and existential dread. Songwriter Doug Morch (Longview) had been working on largely acoustic folk songs when he met Angela Gannon (The Magic Numbers) at Glastonbury 2017. Romance and musical collaboration ensued. The band coalesced in the hallowed environs of Farringdon's The Betsey Trotwood pub -- a musical nexus where burgeoning indie and Americana scenes collide -- where they met fellow songwriter and guitarist Dermot Watson (from Brighton's The Dials) and drummer Danny Abbasi and were joined by Doug's former bandmate Aidan Banks on bass. When they came together, their indie folk mutated into motorik art rock. When it came to capturing their sound, the band reached for maverick musician and producer Sean Read. They recorded tracks at Read's Famous Times studio in Clapton, London, as well as at Edwyn Collins' Clashnarrow in Helmsdale, Scotland. Miniseries' Pilot is just the beginning of the story. Enthralling and atmospheric, the London quintet have created something familiar yet timeless.

RELEASE DATE: 11/21/2025
The release prior to Fin seemed to hint at a more acoustic version of Spanish band Exnovios -- more interested in the studio as an instrument, more electronic, and more subtle. The new dozen songs that make up their fourth LP happily confirm that impression: to the usual unbeatable formula of this Pamplona-based quartet are added new and fascinating layers -- at once fresh yet entirely logical in the evolution of such a unique band within the local scene. Exnovios' new collection of songs wasn't created in a rehearsal space or recorded in a single week in the studio. Rather, it was composed and rehearsed slowly in bedrooms and living rooms -- songs that were later brought into the studio with the idea of finishing building them there. Over the course of nearly a year, the band approached each song one by one, in a handcrafted manner, alongside their trusted ally, producer Guillermo Mutiloa. The result is a treasure trove of songs, perhaps more psych-folk than ever, as acoustic pieces abound -- full of exquisite melodies without abandoning the consciousness-expanding journeys that have made Exnovios a cult favorite: These are often drumless tracks, perhaps with some light percussion, always featuring detailed and exquisite arrangements of guitar, electronics, percussion, and even touches of strings. And despite the reduced presence of drums, fans of the band's legendary fuzz-guitar reverbcore sound won't be disappointed: there's the psychedelic "Viaje Alucinante," full of their classic riffs; their brutal cover of Psychic TV's "Godstar" (drenched in echo and eccentric vocal effects); and the perfectly crafted "Naves Misteriosas," which pulls off the impossible feat of sounding like "Cerca de las Estrellas"-era Los Pekenikes in the verses, Phil Spector in the chorus, and the Ramones in the post-chorus. Fin reveals more sides and nuances of Exnovios than ever before -- a festival of eclectic styles that all remain true to the musical vision that has defined them over the past decade, with their melodic powers at the peak of their talent.

In 1985, Eric Goulden released an album entitled A Roomful Of Monkeys on the Go! Discs label under the name Captains Of Industry. It was a disaster -- most people didn't like it -- where it wasn't roundly ignored it was critically slated. Forty years later he decided to use these songs, written in the Medway Towns between 1982 and '84, as the basis for a new album: England Screaming. On the new recordings Eric played most of the instruments himself. Sam Shepherd played the drums, Amy Rigby and Marc Valentine sang backing vocals, and contributed piano along with Eric's art school friend, performance artist Graham (Graham) Beck. England Screaming is a sonically savage world apart from the insipid, half-arsed (Eric's words) original album. He has succeeded in marrying a young and unrealized vision to the wisdom and experience of his older years, incidentally posing the question: how far have we actually come as a society? As Wreckless Eric he needs little introduction -- he wrote and recorded the classic "Whole Wide World" and had a hit with it back in 1977. Since then it's been a hit for countless other artists including The Monkees, Cage The Elephant, and Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day. As Eric Goulden it's a little more complicated -- a musician, artist, writer, recording engineer and producer, he didn't like either the music business, the mechanics of fame, or the name he'd been given to hide behind, so he crawled out of the spotlight and disappeared into the underground. He went on to release twenty something albums in forty something years under various names -- The Len Bright Combo, Le Beat Group Electrique, The Donovan Of Trash, The Hitsville House Band, and with his wife as one half of Wreckless Eric & Amy Rigby, finally realizing he was stuck with the name Wreckless Eric.

Cassette version. "Glyders been dreaming up this sound for ages -- over years, with different players, countless shows and many late nights at the tape machine. It's been a long ride to Forever -- but now that they've arrived, the vibe's lightning and the blink of an eye. Guitarist/vocalist Joshua Condon and bassist Eliza Weber started up in 2014, but even when they put together their 2023 album debut, Maria's Hunt, they still had a revolving door on the drums. Then they met Joe Seger, who fit on the kit like a glove and in their sound like a brother. Since then, the three have ridden together, building up Forever while playing shows all around the US and Europe. This makes Forever's spirit high and tight, its sinews rumbling with communal joy. The song nugs of Forever sprouted branches and spokes on the road, the increased physicality driving their mellow licks and riffs with a great depth of rolling bottom, its groove taking them further into their own thing. After all this time, the streamlined new chassis feels mighty fine, making this the first real band album for Glyders. These sweet tunes punctuate and emphasize the wind and rain in the hair of Forever's driving jams. Glyders like to keep shuffling the deck. Taped at their own Studio 'G' in Chicago's Humboldt Park, with Josh getting the sounds they like, then mixed by Cooper Crain at Sweat Loge Studios down in Pilsen, Forever is super rich, crackling with the raw details of real life. The title comes from a battle cry within the band, something they hear at shows too. Eliza's amazing art emphasizes this for life credo, mixing classic roots with punk collage style drawn from years of flyers. It's like a family/club vibe, the kind of thing you get tattooed into your skin. Forever lands smooth, its lightning-quick 37 minutes leaving you plenty of time to live. Flip it over and let it go again, then!"

Unlike other Spanish bands of the time, Los Z-66 enjoyed unique conditions that allowed their sound to stand out as one of the most advanced on the local scene in the late 1960s. As was the case with many other groups, their repertoire for entertaining discotheques had to include the hits of the moment and was not always open to the songs of the most daring international bands, which was the sound that most stimulated the musicians. In the case of Los Z-66, being based in Mallorca meant they had privileged access to hard to-find records, imported by foreign tourists, and to a much more modern atmosphere than in other parts of the country. Songs in Italian and French soon gave way to English hits by the Animals, the Stones, and the Beatles. But it was the offer received from Mike Jeffries, manager of Jimi Hendrix, the Animals, and others, to serve as the house band at the newly opened club Sgt. Pepper's that allowed the group to raise their live performances to a level rarely seen in these parts. They even soon incorporated the distorted sound of fuzz into their guitar when they received a fuzz face pedal as a gift from Jimi Hendrix himself, who was invited to play at the club's opening! Their excellent blend of stunning soul, psychedelia, and pop became their hallmark, not only in the band's concerts but also in the handful of singles and EPs they released on the Regal label. Their songs reflected the influence of bands such as The Move, Vanilla Fudge, and Blood, Sweat & Tears, showcasing a solid, modern, and powerful sound. Munster are now re-releasing for the first time their only full-length album, originally published in 1969, which is actually a compilation of songs previously released in 45 rpm format, complete with two bonus tracks not included on the original LP. This reissue, which includes a booklet with liner notes and rare photos, is a joint project between Munster and Runaway Records.

A timeless statement on media, culture, and music. Karl Bartos, renowned as an essential member and songwriter of Kraftwerk during their most innovative years, is reissuing his solo album Communication on Hamburg's Bureau B. First released in 2003, 13 years after leaving the legendary electronic group, the re-release arrives at a moment when its central theme, the transformation of culture through electronic media, feels more relevant than ever. When Bartos departed Kraftwerk in 1990, he left behind a catalogue that had redefined electronic music: "The Model," "The Robots," "Numbers," "Pocket Calculator," and many more bear his imprint as co-writer and melody-maker. 2021 Kraftwerk's classic line-up was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for their innovative work -- the first German band ever to be honored. With the sharp-witted electro-pop of Communication, the Kraftwerk legend extended that legacy, turning his focus toward a rapidly evolving media landscape at the turn of the millennium. At the time, the album's exploration of celebrity culture, digital imagery, and the early internet felt like a glimpse into the future. Today, it reads as sharp cultural analysis of a reality that has since become ordinary. Two decades later, this reissue allows Communication to be reconsidered on its own terms. The questions Bartos posed, about image saturation, reality fragmentation, and identity commodification, resonate more strongly in the age of smartphones, social media, and streaming platforms than they did in the early 2000s. Karl Bartos: "We are living in an age of huge behavioral manipulation. Cybernetics, artificial intelligence -- this is a major challenge for humanity." Bartos's role in shaping Kraftwerk's defining sound is undisputed, yet Communication also asserts his independent artistic voice: one that critiques media while celebrating the joy of electronic sound. Its rerelease is less a nostalgic act than a reminder that Bartos's work continues to speak directly to the cultural present. With this reissue on Bureau B, Communication endures as both a document of its time and a timeless statement on media, culture, and music.

Manny Corchado should be a household name for all boogaloo fans. His classic track "Pow-Wow" is one of the most sought-after singles among collectors and DJs -- not just for its A-side, but also for the absolute dance floor bomb hidden on its B-side: "Chicken and Booze." This instrumental recording features an irresistible rhythm section that could practically serve as the definition of the boogaloo genre itself. On the B-side of this single comes another version of the same song -- this time re-titled "Aguardiente y Pollo" in Spanish -- performed by Nelson y sus Estrellas. The tropical and salsa orchestra, founded in Venezuela by pianist, composer, and bandleader Nelson González Rojas, keeps the same punch and dance-driven focus as Corchado's version, but adds more melodic and sophisticated arrangements.

"Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward first came together in 1968 and originally named themselves The Polka Tulk Blues Band, before transitioning to Earth shortly afterwards. In 1969, they recorded a number of demos in Zella Studios in Birmingham that were never released. The band these Brummie boys were fated to become were always an exceptional group, even in their early years as Earth, when as teenagers they formed a blues band. Neatly timed in the mid-1960s, as the blues boom was in decline. Nevertheless, they persevered, widening their repertoire, until, name-change they became the most important and most-copied of all heavy metal bands. They single-handedly invented the style that influenced and inspired not only so many bands, but also those dozens of sub-metal styles that now abound -- black metal, death metal, gothic metal, nu metal and so many more. The band's subsequent worldwide success over the last fifty odd years has, unsurprisingly, drawn attention away from just how fine a band they were at the outset. This release will most certainly address that position. These early recordings were made by the band, still known as Earth, who had already built an enviable reputation and a veritable army of fans with their high-powered, blues-rooted, red hot and rocking performances. These recordings accurately chart their development of their repertoire as they edged their way towards those heavy metal anthems that were soon to captivate the world of rock. All tracks featured have been carefully restored from the original masters, untouched for over 50 years, and presented here for the very first time in all their glory."

This anthology of Los Wembler's allows listeners to appreciate the legacy of the iconic group from Iquitos, the most important city in the Peruvian Amazon which is only accessible by air or river, and their key role in the creation and revival of Amazonian cumbia. Los Wembler's emerged as a family band in the late 1960s in the Belén district of Iquitos and are regarded as pioneers of electric guitar-driven Amazonian cumbia from Perú. The selection of songs that make up this compilation dates from the period between 1972 and 1980, at the peak of the band's career. Songs such as "Sonido amazónico" or "La danza del petrolero" have become highly influential classics of the genre. Most of these tracks are reissued here for the first time after remaining unavailable for decades. Selva includes an insert with liner notes and photos. Pressed on 180g vinyl.

Uzed is the fourth album by Belgian band Univers Zero. It was released three years after Ceux du Dehors, due to a change in line-up and a new repertoire, although the EP Crawling Wind had been released in the meantime. The album marked a turning point for the band. Univers Zero explored new electric colors, giving it a more rock feel with the addition of new musicians such as Jean-Luc Plouvier, who introduced the synthesizer, guitarist Michel Delory, who played a memorable solo in "Célesta (For Chantal)," and André Mergen on electric cello and alto saxophone, who enriched the orchestral texture. With Dirk Descheemaeker on clarinet and soprano saxophone and the return of Christian Genet on bass, this evolution can also be explained by the arrival of new musicians. Uzed is entirely composed and arranged by Daniel Denis. The recording and mixing were done at Daylight Studio in Brussels in 1984, but to bring out Uzed, the sound had to be improved by giving it more dynamic range, which was done at ICP Studios in 2024. Univers Zero represents one of the longest-living bands in Belgium. It was established in 1974. Drummer Daniel Denis had the brilliant idea to gather together a team of professionals sharing the same taste for music. The band has adopted an instrumental progressive style. Over the last couple of decades, the band has also implemented a series of influences from chamber music -- most commonly, chamber music from the 20th century. Even if the line-up changes a lot over the years, the overall sound of UZ remained fairly consistent.

LP version.
