"Baum is a new label, which mainly will concentrate on deep dub techno and minimal techno. The first release is three track EP which is called
Buchenholz
EP by Resoe, who is the owner/founder of the label. 'Moorpark' is a deep track with fat chords and heavy bass for the dancefloor, which draws inspiration from the Berlin heritage of Basic Channel. 'TSB' is a more minimal track with smooth melodies that floats around in the wet space of reverbs and delays, but the deep chords still find their way into the track. 'Apart From Space' is a track of pure laid back mood with heavy dub influence that just moves around in the spacious environment of plate reverbs and long tape delays."

"Baum Records proudly presents Johan Fotmeijer as a member of the label family. After his successful releases on labels such as Aesthetic Audio, Adjunct, Mille Plateaux and Boxer, Johan delivers a steady release on Baum. 'Embrace The Night' takes you into the world of melodic Detroit techno. The soundscapes from the synthesizers just evolves in small catchy melodies that fit perfect with the music from pioneers such as Carl Craig and Mike Banks. The second track 'Love Unlimited' is a track for the late night sessions. It starts with a steady kick, which leads into a calm atmospheric mood. The melodies blend perfectly with the white noise and slow delays. To finish off the EP, label owner Resoe remixes 'Love Unlimited.' He puts his own dubby touch to the track with deep, fat bass, dusty chords and adds an old-school 303 melody to top it off."

"Baum005 is no other than Marko Fürstenberg of A.r.t.less/Rotary- Cocktail/Ornaments and Thinner fame. On the b side the artist Sgi_s joins with a remix. What can you say, but 'Espenhain' on the A-side is a dancefloor filler. A tight, compressed kick and Marko's atmospheric touch of dubby techno. The 'Espenhain' remix on the B-side is shaped by swiss artist Sgi_s. This track is more of a pure techno track with an old school feeling to it, appegiator groove with a break that builds up to a peak point, but still manages to be deep. 'Ratsholz' is the last track on the EP, a soundscape of hiss and noises that forms the hypnotic groove of the track. It starts slowly but it evolves into a sure late night track with a nice melody."

"The labelhead Resoe returns with a 3 track EP that contains a remix of 'Cosmic Blast' by Berghain resident Norman Nodge (MDR/Ostgut Ton). On the A-side Resoe delivers a floor mover with fat moving bass and dusty chords that for sure packs the floor. The first track on the B-side, Norman Nodge gives 'Cosmic Blast' his trademark touch of dirty simple techno. The breakdown in the middle will make your woofers bleed!!!! The second track on the B-side is a dub techno track with lots of elements from a 2 hour field recording Resoe did in his backyard from the studio. The track builds up slowly and ends in a smooth groovy atmosphere."
