Artist: VA
Title: Quality Street
Label: BUTTERZ (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $9.50
Catalog #: BR 002EP
Elijah & Skilliam's Butterz brings together a top value pack of four amazing productions. First up is a 2010 reworking of the classic "Creepy Crawler" by Terror Danjah -- 10 times more menacing than the original half-time 2004 grime hit. Royal T follows with "Hot Ones Remix" -- pulsing dancefloor grime at its finest. SRC reworks the Nintendo 8-bit era influenced "Goomba" and Mr. Mitch closes the set with a colorful combination of lo-fi synths and rattling breaks on "Skittles."

Artist: TERROR DANJAH
Title: Air Bubble Remixes
Label: BUTTERZ (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: BR 003EP
Butterz presents a limited clear-vinyl EP featuring three remixes of Terror Danjah's "Air Bubble." The original version was a main draw on Butterz' first release and featured here is a trio of diverse takes on the tune from Starkey, Swindle and Royal T. After the parts to the song were released on the Butterz blog earlier this year, over 200 producers ended up remixing it. There are only 300 copies released, so this is definitely one for the fast-fingered collector.

Artist: D.O.K.
Title: Chemical Planet/Keep On Making Grime
Label: BUTTERZ (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $9.50
Catalog #: BR 004EP
On this 12", D.O.K steps out from the background to be recognized as one of the most influential producers around. "Chemical Planet" is an amalgamation of styles that blends Swindle-esque chords with D.O.K's chopped vocal samples. Managing to be both melodic and frantic, this track continues Butterz' strong commitment to championing instrumentals with real structure rather than just 16 bar loops. "Keep On Making Grime" swings with an attention-grabbing looped vocal sample and eerie synths over a halfstep rhythm.

Artist: ROYAL T
Title: Orangeade
Label: BUTTERZ (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $9.50
Catalog #: BR 005EP
Mark Taylor aka Royal T is one of the brightest prospects for grime music in 2011. "Orangeade" is a sonic workout which is definitely meant for peak-time dancefloors. Both synth and bass-heavy, this track is cleverly programmed around 808 claps to give it added dimension and groove. "Whistle Song" features a squelchy bass line that builds up to a breakbeat-influenced crescendo. The Devil Mix of "Music Please" is a bass-only mix that still possesses all of Royal T's menacing qualities.

Artist: TRIM
Title: I Am
Label: BUTTERZ (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: BR 008EP
Revisiting TRC's "Skipping Rope" instrumental from the first release in the Butterz White Label series, "I Am" shows Trim on a more laid back vibe then his usual "war monger" approach, but it is one of the best things he has written so far, already strongly supported by a host of big name DJs including Logan Sama, Sinden, Benji B, and Mistajam. On the remix duties are Preditah (JME, Earth 616 and LV (Hyperdub/Keysound).

Artist: SWINDLE & SILKIE
Title: Unlimited/Pineapple
Label: BUTTERZ (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: BR 009EP
Highly-anticipated collaborative single between Swindle and Silkie, who have fused their love of retro-funk synthesizers with penetrating basslines. "Unlimited" injects soul and groove into a track that still holds its weight on the dancefloor. Swindle's solo effort "Pineapple" (which featured first on Elijah & Skilliam's Rinse: 17 [RINSE 022CD] collection) bolsters through with a frantic beat pattern and woozy synths, and is definitely a more psychedelic and extroverted trip. Support from Annie Mac, Mistajam, Seb Chew, Ben UFO and DJ Q.

Artist: TRC
Title: Oo Aa Ee (VIP Mix)
Label: BUTTERZ (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $9.50
Catalog #: BRW 001EP
Elijah & Skilliams' Butterz label open their vinyl-only white label series with a release from TRC. "Oo Aa Ee (VIP Mix)" has been floating around for awhile between the Rinse FM grime DJs, but is now finally being released on this limited vinyl pressing, with strong support from Logan Sama, DJ Q, Oneman and Ben UFO. "Skipping Rope" was described by Wiley as "an intelligent riddim." "My Empire" brings a heavy dose of the Midlands' bass line for a crafty hybrid.

Artist: S-X
Title: Woooo Riddim/Woooo Riddim DJ Q Mix
Label: BUTTERZ (UK)
Format: 10"
Price: $9.50
Catalog #: BRW 10002EP
S-X's ubiquitous "Woooo Riddim" has been one of the most exposed grime tracks and now sees a vinyl release as the second plate on the Butterz White Label series. Taking its influence from Dirty South hip-hop, "Woooo Riddim" leans on a stern 808 drum-roll accompanied by hypnotic synth-lines that compliment the laid-back feeling of the track, which has been supported heavily by Mistajam, Kode9, and Benji B. DJ Q is on remix duty, delivering a somewhat dramatic interpretation. Purple vinyl.

Artist: S-X VS. RAMADANMAN
Title: WooooGlut/Bricks
Label: BUTTERZ (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: SXDK 001EP
The Butterz white-label series goes from strength to strength with the official release of Ramandanman's edit of his own track "Glut" with the # 1 grime anthem "Woooo Riddim" by Birmingham's S-X. Containing the best elements of both tracks, the harmonious vocal sample of "Glut" creates a glorious sonic juxtaposition to the gritty, stuttering bassline of "Woooo Riddim." Released on Butterz, S-X's original cut has been championed by Loefah, Ben UFO and Benji B. Strictly limited 500-only white label, never to be re-pressed.
