Artist: BAND OF PAIN
Title: Sacred Flesh
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: CSR 033CD
Originally released in 2000. The soundtrack was written by Steve Pittis' Band Of Pain, creating a very dark, brooding atmosphere to compliment Nigel Wingrove's film. Originally including a 16-page booklet depicting explicit scenes from the film, pressure from the distributors forced the artwork into a revised 4-page version. Sacred Flesh is dark journey into realms of mental anguish and repression; a very black ambient soundtrack. This is Band Of Pain working in the medium to which it's most suited. An incredible album with massive demand from both film and music buffs.

Title: The Black Post Society
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.00
Catalog #: CSR 085CD
"The Black Post Society embraces and accepts the depression of not having anything left to hunt. The mask without a face to hold. The depression of the hunter after the deer is killed. It is better to be hungry than to have eaten. As fantasy shatters under the whip of reality, erotic malaise settles in the nest of the mind inverting this dormant fuel to rekindle the endless cycle of sexual chaos. Black industrial / power noise from this highly respected US act!"

Artist: NDE
Title: Krieg Blut Ehre Asche
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: CSR 110CD
2009 release. Debut from this Belgian duo. Like the dark, solitary figure which adorns the cover, NDE are shrouded in mystery and desolation. No web site. No Myspace. No contact details. The music speaks loudly and across the centuries. A unique smelting of malevolent, noisy black metal, pounding, anthemic martial drums and wretched death industrial in eight acts.

Artist: IRON FIST OF THE SUN
Title: Behavioural Decline
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: CSR 116CD
Originally released in 2009. Personal obsessions skewed by drug use, codes of behavior observed by a misanthropic mind. Bitter and cold. Nihilistic and scornful. Elitist and pure. Behavioural Decline documents the rise of treachery and the fall of honor. Power electronics that sonically take inspiration from electro-acoustics and ideology akin to black metal/black noise. A deeply personal recording. For fans of Prurient and Sutcliffe Jugend.

Title: Conscriptum
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: 2CD

Catalog #: CSR 118CD
Double CD of rare, alternative versions, new and unreleased material from German martial industrial legends Von Thronstahl! The sounds on Conscriptum range from orchestral to industrial, neo-folk to military-pop and martial rock, all with the unmistakable, unique sound of Von Thronstahl. This is definitely a release for fans of the early "classic" Von Thronstahl sound, which gained them the solid reputation they have today and could be considered a companion piece to E Pluribus Unum. Around 140 minutes of fantastic music presented in a luxurious 6-panel digipak.

Artist: FIRE IN THE HEAD
Title: Confessions Of A Narcissist
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: CSR 120CD
Confessions Of A Narcissist marks the final full-length release by Fire In The Head, ending six years of sonic warfare with an assault of manic, self-indulgent industrial electronics. Drawing as much influence from early punk/hardcore as from industrial/power electronics, F/I/T/H was conceived as a cathartic outlet to explore and ratify the delusions and social perversions resultant of psychosis and the darker side of man's conflicted dual nature, to fan the flames which engulf the borders between obsession, compulsion, lust and need. The tracks on this release were recorded in 2007-2008 and are the last of the "short, sharp, shock" vocal tracks which Michael Page abandoned in favor of "epic" length industrial/ambient compositions. Features guest appearances from Nick Blinko (Rudimentary Peni) and J. Randall (Agoraphobic Nosebleed), with exclusive artwork from Blinko.

Artist: SEHNSUCHT
Title: Wüste
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: CSR 124CD
Former Mayhem front-man Maniac, whose band Skitliv has proved to be a surprising departure from the black metal genre for which he was best known for over 20 years, has formed a side-project with fiancé Vivian Slaughter, bass player/vocalist with the Japanese all-girl band Gallhammer, Skitliv's guitarist Ingvar Magnusson and experimentalist Andrew Liles (Nurse With Wound). Unlike Skitliv, which is a noise/doom amalgam, with Maniac's vocals still firmly rooted in black metal, Sehnsucht is in the noise/darkwave/ambient genre, with any vestiges of black metal pared away. Housed in a 6-panel digipak.

Artist: WICKED KING WICKER
Title: God Is Busy...Save Yourself
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: CSR 125CD
2009 release. Wicked King Wicker is pure doom. Their brand of guttural expression strips away the rock n' roll base and leaves nothing for the listener than the caustic reality of the darkest side of life. It is heavy, barbaric and void of hope. Wicked King Wicker has taken the power of doom metal and added noise to the mix to make its point. God Is Busy... Save Yourself is their sixth album, and their first released outside of the U.S. Wicked King Wicker is unique, and their extreme doom stands alone as the heaviest, most brutal doom imaginable and it may take you places you don't want to go.

Artist: GOATVARGR
Title: Black Snow Epoch
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: CSR 126CD
The second unholy union of Lord Nordvargr (MZ.412, Folkstorm, Toroidh, etc) and Goat (USA). The first covenant of Goatvargr was baleful, lycanthropic and lethiferous. A rejection of the techgnostic kingdom and circuitry idols which seduce our era. The downfall of light has brought a world of coldness. This Black Snow Epoch is a time to honor our forbears such as MZ.412 and the elements of flesh, wood and alchemical steel. Industrial loops and analog keyboards merge with sheet metal and chains to create a solemn winter hymn where the cold steel stings your flesh. The wolf instinctively hunts through the frost, and the goat is blamed for human transgressions, yet during the Black Snow Epoch, the true hunters will pursue. Presented in a jewelcase with foldout poster cover.

Artist: EMME YA
Title: Atavistic Dreams & Phallic Totems
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: CSR 127CD
40 minutes of dense astral emanations and magickal paradigms transmitted through the ritual mantras generated by Emme Ya. Emme Ya's Atavistic Dreams & Phallic Totems is based on the mysterious African Dogon tribe and their secret oral tradition. In the 1930s, two anthropologists gained their trust enough to be told these remarkable secrets. The Dogon seemed to possess advanced astronomical knowledge beyond their means, without any instruments. They revealed that the star Sirius was orbited by the "smallest and heaviest of all stars" and drew its elliptical orbit, which spans 50 years. This white dwarf (Sirius B) is so invisible, that the first image was only obtained by scientists in 1970. But the Dogon also told of a third star in the system named Emme Ya (now Sirius C). This was only discovered in 1995 and only with the use of advanced infrared imaging. The Dogon say that their information was given to their ancestors through contact with beings from the star system of Sirius, calling these beings Nommos or "the monitors of the universe."

Artist: MACHINEFABRIEK
Title: Daas
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: CSR 128CD
Cold Spring Records presents an album from Dutch experimenter Rutger Zuydervelt (Machinefabriek). The tracks on Daas have been carefully picked to form a provoking, haunting journey. What the tracks have in common is a sense of nostalgic graininess. As with the music of Philip Jeck, The Caretaker or William Basinski, these tracks are full of degrading melodies and dusty ambience. "Daas" is the previously-unreleased opening track of the album, and features contributions by the great Richard Skelton. This track was made as a reaction to the piece "Koploop." "Flotter," "Koploop" and "Grom" were previously available on small run self-released 3" CD-Rs. Sold out for some time now, these tracks deserved a wider audience. These three long tracks also seem to come from the same galaxy, making perfect sense when put together. "Onkruid" was a track previously-released on a A Room Forever 12", as an expensive and extremely limited 12" boxed set, now brought to a wider audience.

Artist: MERZBOW
Title: Graft
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: LP
Price: $23.50
Catalog #: CSR 129LP
Graft is an album by Japanese noise master Masami Akita aka Merzbow. This LP album is pressed on lime-green vinyl in a "bootleg"-style sleeve and sealed with a sticker. Limited to 300 regular copies. According to the Merzbow blog, the design was inspired by a '70s Jethro Tull bootleg called My God, and the recording was inspired by the plant illustrations in the Voynich manuscript. Recorded in November 2009 at Munemi House, Tokyo.

Artist: TENHORNEDBEAST
Title: Hunts & Wars
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: CSR 130CD
TenHornedBeast's third album for Cold Spring Records is titled Hunts & Wars. Recorded over a three year period from 2006 to 2009, this album introduces subtle changes to the established TenHornedBeast sound, with shorter, delicate interludes separating longer tracks that rage with heavy distortion and doom-drone barbarism. Hunts & Wars progresses the established TenHornedBeast sound using leaden, sub-tuned bass guitar to create rhythms and riffs that dominate a battlefield of vast ritual percussion and droning walls of electric dissonance, creating epic and expansive textures that by turns burn with frost and freeze with fire. Heavily influenced by the oneiric visions of Robert E. Howard and Lord Dunsany. Hunts & Wars seeks to evoke the elemental, anti-modern fantasias of these writers and is presented in a lavish digipak designed by noted American graphic designer Kevin Yuen (Sunn O))), Wolves In The Throne Room) to its full grotesque glory. The days have come when the steel will rule. Titans arise, monuments fall. Ballads of victory and defeat are sung aloud as from the highest steps we are swept on to the eternal Hunts & Wars. Presented in a 6-panel, spot metallic finish digipak.

Artist: HELDENTOD
Title: The Ghost Machine
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: CSR 131CD
Heldentod began in 2005 as an outlet for research into the little-known corners of 20th-century history. While previous recordings whiplashed between the traditional and the experimental, Heldentod's latest album leaves behind its neo-folk and martial-industrial roots to focus solely on electronics, but maintains the fundamental sense of composition found in earlier incarnations. Although now primarily influenced by death industrial and power electronics, Heldentod looks to create the most suitable expression of its key themes, including ghosts, ancestor worship, human sacrifice, Neolithic fertility rights, Iron Age religion, mediæval literature, unseen dimensions, inhuman intelligences, and all manner of Forteana.

Artist: HOGAN, ANNI
Title: Mountain
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD/DVD DUALDISC
Price: $19.50
Catalog #: CSR 132CD
Mountain is an artistic collaboration between musicians Anni Hogan, Robert Strachan and Itchy Ear, film maker Bob Wass and mountaineer Cathy O'Dowd. Hogan and Itchy Ear originally worked on a series of piano pieces inspired by René Daumal's Mount Analogue and the superior wisdom of mountains, using O'Dowd's Himalayan conquests for particular authentic inspiration. Robert and Anni used these pieces and the Himalayan peaks as a template for painting a soundwave soundscape around the piano compositions. Cathy has supplied all the photographs for the album sleeve, beautifully edited by Abby Helasdottir, and Cathy has performed a fascinating and revealing monologue over the piece "Deathzone." The Mountain film has been created by Bob Wass from Cathy's original film footage of her Everest expeditions. The film and soundtrack are an experimental "journey" exploring the nature of "journey and mountains" sonically and visually.

This ground-breaking, genre-defining album saw the inventors of "black industrial" blur the boundaries between black metal, ritual industrial, dark ambient and power noise. In Nomine... captures the darkest sides of Satanism, death and ritual sacrifice -- an enduring, blasphemous statement of True Swedish black industrial. Artist: MACHINEFABRIEK
Title: Vloed
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: CSR 138CD
Cold Spring Records reissues an album from Dutch experimenter Rutger Zuydervelt (Machinefabriek). Originally released in 2008 on Sentient Recognition Archive, with added tracks and new artwork. Vloed is a collection of (slightly edited) live performances, recorded between 2006 and 2008 in Amsterdam and Den Haag. "All performances find Machinefabriek in fine form, offering up thick billows of warm guitar shimmer, fluttery, staticky ambience, and at one point some uncharacteristically heavy super-distorted metallic guitar, but here, it's not so much metal as simply a mighty drone, thick and throbbing and super intense. There are long stretches of near-silence and super-minimal high-end drone, glimmering, slow-building crescendos, squalls of distorted choral buzz, warm, whirring metallic reverberations, shimmery and dense, black dronemusik, all the stuff we love about Machinefabriek" --Aquarius; Beautifully remastered with a 20-minute bonus track, Vloed captures the immersive live experience of a Machinefabriek concert. Presented in a stunning matte digipak with modified artwork.

Artist: LULL/BETA CLOUD/ANDREW LILES
Title: Circadian Rhythm Disturbance Reconfigured
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: CSR 139CD
From England to the United States and back again. It all started as a simple drone project between Lull (aka Mick Harris of Scorn, ex-Napalm Death), and Beta Cloud (aka Carl Pace), based on the concept of how insomnia can affect your thought patterns. Billows of powerful bass drones set to indistinct flourishes of temporary insanity, it was released as a limited 3" CD in 2008. Now proudly presented in a deluxe digipak edition on Cold Spring, the original track is there, but also included is a fierce remix track by none other than legendary sound artist Andrew Liles (Nurse With Wound), with stunning new packaging and artwork. Fans of Lull and Beta Cloud will really sink their teeth into this one; what Liles has created here is not a simple remix but a raging deconstruction as only he can do. A captivating listen for dark ambient and harsh noise fans alike.

Artist: MZ.412
Title: Burning The Temple Of God
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: CSR 140CD
This is the ultimate statement in Swedish black industrial, summoning forth the act's controversial black metal side and recalling the Norwegian church burnings of the early '90s. Nightmare-inducing ritual old school industrial, alongside raw black metal, this album has been hailed as one of the greatest albums in the genre by noise and black metal fans alike! It could actually be considered the first real crossover album between the genres. Remastered and extended version of the 1996 album with bonus tracks ("Taking The Throne Part 2" and "Untitled") and alternate takes culled from the original masters. 61 minutes of music housed in a matte laminate digipak with spot varnishing.

Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: CSR 141CD
Second monumental album from Kreuzweg Ost for Cold Spring, headed by Michael Gregor (Summoning/Amestigon). "We see a light through the dim and cloudy shadows of our existence. In the electric field between. Total faith and desperation, hope and doubt, eternal bliss and delusion, we walk an unsure path to an unknown end. When the clouds open, the light navigates. The loud music of the sky: pounding drums surrounded by trumpets and swirling voices echoing from a distance unknown." Kreuzweg Ost rises again with God on their side. Gott Mit Uns combines a variety of different musical styles: from martial industrial to classical sounds, from deep ambient to cinematic pop music. These musical prayers are made for those seeking salvation.

Title: Infernal Affairs
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)

Seven years after possibly their darkest and most subdued album Domine Rex Inferum, the black industrial pioneers MZ.412 stepped things up with a bombastic industrial magnum opus, originally released in 2006 on Cold Meat Industry. Opulent orchestral arrangements sit perfectly alongside cavernous dark ambient and blackened noise to create another monumental release from the Swedes who have dominated the scene since their inception in the early '90s.

Artist: VA

Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: 2CD

Artist: SKULLFLOWER
Title: Fucked On A Pile Of Corpses
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: CSR 151CD
The most remorseless, brutal Skullflower ever. Alternating between granular lo-fi primitive rock and granular lo-fi primitive power electronics, this taut disc is a chain mail glove of hate to any lazy minds who've tainted the air with describing Skullflower as "psychedelic." But that's not to say this is an all-out total assault. There are also moments of tender acoustic balladry, it's just that they don't exist. The remorseless brutal sound is primitive, but as detailed and rich as a blood-soaked medieval canvas, somewhere betwixt The Rita and Clandestine Blaze, but more brutal! Long live the New Flesh! Kether is in Malkuth, Malkuth is in Kether, but in a different way.

Artist: BURIAL HEX/IRON FIST OF THE SUN
Title: Actaeon/Grown Under English Ice
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: LP
Price: $23.00
Catalog #: CSR 153LP
Superb trans-Atlantic power electronics/death industrial face-off between Wisconsin's Burial Hex and Birmingham's Iron Fist Of The Sun. Burial Hex presents two "pre-industrial" conceptual compositions. Aside from one synth at the end of the first track, this music was all made with acoustic sounds. Intense power electronics, but without using amplification or electronically-generated sounds. Just like how many industrial artists have flirted with depicting sounds and atmospheres from the first and second World Wars, these pieces were composed imaging atmospheres closer to the American Civil War-era. IFOTS's four tracks were recorded at Crushing Obelisk, Birmingham, England. Dedicated to betrayers of family/faith/country. Birmingham nihilism! 40 minutes. Limited to 500 copies.

Artist: MACHINEFABRIEK
Title: Veldwerk
Label: COLD SPRING RECORDS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: CSR 156CD
Sublime drone music and field recordings by Machinefabriek, the solo project of Dutch experimentalist Rutger Zuydervelt. "Slovensko I & II" are best seen as a travel diary, recorded in Slovakia. Zuydervelt made "sound snapshots" with a small digital recorder. A major influence both while recording and assembling the tracks was Chinese sound artist Yan Jun. "Rusland" is a sound collage comprising field recordings and sections of live performances made in Russia. An incredible adventure and culture shock with long train journeys, bizarre venues and amazing people. "The Breaking Water" can be heard as a sonic portrait of Rotterdam's famous Erasmus bridge. It includes recordings taken from both on and beneath the bridge, along with further sounds from the river that it crosses, the Nieuwe Maas. "Floor & Radio" is a contrast to the outdoor pieces recorded for the installation "Licthung" in Radolfzell, Germany. Contrasted against the outdoor silence was the squeaking floor in the guest house and the distorted signal and static from the radio. Sometimes there's music in everything. Makino Takashi asked Zuydervelt to perform a score for his film In Your Star. After a screening in Tokyo, a studio version was recorded. The result is "Apollo," a sonic journey to space and beyond. Housed in a digipak.
