"Fumakilla venture in international artist directions this time. Up is newcomer Jonathan Troupin aka Jona (upcoming releases on Get Physical Music, etc), who delivers an easy (not lightweight!), clean and highly usable ultra-sturdy clicked out dance floor 2-tracker. 'Operation O' and 'Monjey Money' are both extremely well crafted ventures into pounding crunchy and hi densed fluffy minimal house. A cutting edge techfunk eclectism with high presence which has to be his signature sound by now and the sound system you play this on can just not be big enough. Jona tracks catch you from 'Outside In,' intense storming bleeped out electro house freakiness, with enough variation & stamina for a true dance floor bonanza!!! Jonathan Troupin was born in 1983 in Ličge, Belgium. His background is technical (audio engineer since 2000) as well as musical (he has been playing the guitar for 12 years). "Fom the very first second he shows the right direction, 'Swamp' is walking the line between tech house and post-Detroitish sound structures. Warm and hypnotic fragments will be the new deadly weapon in early morning hours for sure, this chord monster demonstrates who is playing in the first league at the moment, it is Jona again, well known for his stunning tunes on labels like Get Physical, Resopal, Toys for Boys and for sure his incredible tune on Fumakilla called 'Tap Stroke' which appealed to everybody. On the flip, another pretty nice piece of music named 'Fields.' This one comes around with a nasty club-friendly formation, nice modulations and a peaktime guaranteed pretty little melody, spherical chords and a splendidly constructed drum work which gets directly to the point again. "After his highly respected release on Cadenza, Felipe Venegas joins Leix & Ronro, who have developed a long career at the Spanish circuit and appeared on the latest compilation of Barraca music, to release this three track EP. 'Seito' and 'El cant' circle around hypnotic vocal snippets and are spiked with subtle percussion, which eventually lead to a grooving mixture of their influences: Afro-Latin percussion, polyphonic rhythms and pumping house combined with a minimal structure. "New Follow" is a trippy, Chicagoesque, morphing house track, steadily growing behind the hypnotic voice and the pushing bass figure in darkened acid landscapes. On the flip, Woody proves that he's still on fire with the soulful-dubby-technoid-deep n' funky "Let It Work," guaranteeing waves of excitement on the floors. "Berzuh" is a reduced, dubby tech house gem that claps and grooves all over.
