Jeroen "Secret Cinema" Verheij launched Gem Records in December of 2009. The label represents the versatile array of sounds that Verheij himself plays in his DJ sets. The first two releases came from Dutch super-talents and Secret Cinema protégés Egbert and Peter Horrevorts. Welcome To My Club, mixed by Secret Cinema, explores the realms of Verheij's club sound and his flavors for the coming season. The package includes Secret Cinema's "Glad Chord" and an exclusive preview of two tracks from the forthcoming EP Haasten by Egbert. The CD kicks off with vintage synth chords from Jamie Lloyd but soon twists in another direction with the sexy G-funk electro-beats of Big Bully. After that, the CD picks up pace and reveals the energy that drives Secret Cinema's sets. With 20 tracks in the collection, this is one of the most action-packed compilations out at the moment, taking the listener on an audible trip beyond stylistic barriers in electronic music. The tracks on Secret Cinema's album Minerals are inspired by the hardness, color and material of various minerals. CD1 consists of dancefloor hammering tech-house and techno as we have come to expect from Secret Cinema. With contributions from Ramon Tapia, Egbert, Cosima and m0h, timeless gems are guaranteed. Alongside these floor-friendly tracks are some more abstract jams. All is woven together in a powerful continuous mix on CD (with download voucher for single tracks). The second CD is an ambient mix consisting of the sounds that form the base of the tracks on CD1, mixed with bizarre instruments, tuning forks and other sounds. Dirk-Jan Hanegraaff and Robert Kroos also known as Mental Youth, collaborated with Gem Records-head Jeroen Verheij on this creation. Perfect for relaxation after the party on CD1. Some might say that this is some of the best work from one of The Netherlands' top techno producers of the past 18 years.

"Bloody Hands" has a futuristic sparkle with plenty of funk and loads of interesting effects, characteristic of Peter Horrevorts' productions. The lead and bass line build up tension throughout, climaxing after 5 minutes with some guaranteed hands-in-the-air action. "Nymph" is a funky, deep techno track that slots perfectly into those hypnotizing moments of the night. "Bloody Hands" is remixed by Marc Marzenit into a monster that has a slightly deeper, more progressive flavor than the original, yet maintains its energy.

Label front man Secret Cinema presents his first EP on Gem. "Glad Chord" builds tension with repetitive synth jabs, unfolding into pure euphoria before diving back into the groove. "Basically" is a deep, hypnotic tech-bomb with funky percussion over a complex bass line combined with quirky synths. The remix is provided by Belfast-based duo Paul Hamill and Dave Oost Lievense aka Psycatron, who treated "Glad Chord" with added strings and a more varied sequence, giving the track an extra dancefloor friendliness.

Created back in '94 by Secret Cinema, "Timeless Altitude" is truly timeless. If you are into electronic music and live on this planet, there's a 75% chance you'll recognize the weird reversed, reverbed piano riff. Now, remixes by Slam, Egbert and Secret Cinema have made their way onto vinyl. The Secret Cinema remix is a peak-time main room power tool, Slam take a deeper, more subtle approach, and Egbert takes the track to a warmer, funkier level.

Tapia's solo track "Pelican" is a tribal tech-house hammer that will go down a guaranteed killer on the floor. Secret Cinema and Ramon team up to create a euphoric, tech-y piece of work.
