Artist: SCUBA
Title: A Mutual Antipathy
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: HF 002CD
2008 release, now repressed. "Decamping to Germany has had a profound affect on Paul Rose aka Scuba. Still running the prolific Hotflush and Scuba labels from his Berlin home with a little help from stateside Alex Incyde and a truly legendary international roster, this north London original has taken his imprint and sound undeniably global. Yet, whilst he has yet to adopt lederhosen and start making Euro trance, the techno/minimal core of the city has clearly opened up new possibilities for him. I could throw around more wild conjecture, but I bet being so far away from the London scene has probably allowed him to start confidently exploring new pockets of sound and structure. This long player, (in every sense -- the track segue continuously together) is an opulent, yet serious digression from any standard dubstep template, and all the more brilliant for it. The expansion of classic Scuba industrial crunch and groove, means his soundscapes have moved, with great fluidity, into further areas of electronica and techno embellishments, allows the beat to shift tempos and morph patterns, creating an album that ebbs and flows seductively drawing the listener into its magnetic power. Complete and assured, A Mutual Antipathy is dubstep alternative; the perfect balance between Burial's rusty emo-garage and Benga's full throttle techno."

3x12" version.

Artist: SCUBA
Title: Triangulation (Interpretations)
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 2CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: HF 003LTD-CD
Hotflush presents a 2CD package of Scuba's acclaimed Triangulation album, plus a CD of all-new artist remixes. Scuba aka Paul Rose has been at the forefront of the dubstep scene since its birth. Having founded the innovative and influential Hotflush Recordings label in 2003, he has continually brought color and depth to an advancing genre, expanding its sonic structure and increasing its influence on the wider electronic scene. Through Scuba and seminal work by central figures including Distance, Vex'd and more recently Mount Kimbie and Joy Orbison, Hotflush remains crucial to the immediate moment and the developing future of the most exciting aspects of electronic music. In addition to label and production duties, he also runs the massively successful SUB:STANCE night at Berlin's techno Mecca, Berghain, the sound of which he committed to plastic in a DJ mix (OSTGUT 011CD). Following the first Scuba LP, A Mutual Antipathy (2008) which was remixed by Marcel Dettman, Martyn and Surgeon, Triangulation (2010) took the Scuba sound to a new level. The collision of dubstep and techno has produced startling music from a wide range of producers in the last few years, none more than Scuba, and that has been well documented. But Triangulation moves past the dubstep/techno axis and into new territory. Working at multiple tempos, the album covers an area ranging from house to experimental drum n' bass while retaining the Scuba sound that has become so distinctive. For Triangulation (Interpretations), new allure is breathed into Scuba's originals. The listless beauty of "Before" is imbued with a spine-tingling warmth on Scuba's luscious opening re-edit, "Before (After)." A remix of "Latch" by Will Saul and Mike Monday, infuses the dubbed-out original with a dose of bumping house flavor. America's totem of bass Faulty DL takes leave from the original "On Deck" with a low, burring bass line and elegantly woven melodies drawn warmly across the whole. Scuba's back with the old skool vibes on "You Got Me (I Got You)" but confidently skips the line by keeping it firmly in this moment. Deadbeat's remix of "Tracers" sees him in classic form, delivering a deep 7am techno heavy-hitter. Joe's rework of "So You Think You're Special" has a slowly blossoming groove underpinning stuttering percussion, jangling keys and an expertly playful melody that opens out across the sparse background. Finally, South London's Deadboy offers an understated modern jungle remix of "Before" with skittering hats and heavy bass that can't fail to light up floors and faces.

Artist: MOUNT KIMBIE
Title: Crooks & Lovers
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: HF 004CD
Adding a percussive and experimental edge to the current class of post-dubstep pioneers, Mount Kimbie, the duo of Dominic Maker and Kai Campos -- release their highly anticipated debut album Crooks & Lovers on Hotflush. Mount Kimbie's first two EPs -- Maybes and Sketch On Glass -- seemed like explorations of spaces so private that all within earshot were instantly turned into voyeurs. The experience was less like listening to music and more like eavesdropping on the machinations of a lone mind -- albeit a lone mind surrounded by and retreating from millions of other minds. Difficult to categorize, the lush EPs caused a commotion with "Sketch On Glass" undergoing reworks from the likes of Falty DL, SCB (Scuba's darker techno alias) and their sometime collaborator James Blake. With their own remixes (Foals and The xx) becoming hot property, Mount Kimbie have been a core part of the growing scene in London often associated with labels like Hyperdub and Hessle Audio. Dom and Kai met while at Southbank University, pushed together in a student hall that was previously a mental asylum -- where the ceilings were still ridiculously high to stop patients hanging themselves: "a cold, joyless, concrete building -- the sort of building where you'd drop a pen and the sound would just go on and on in an echo." Armed with found sound snips and a siege mentality, Kai and Dom set about turning London's ambience into rhythm, its chaos into coherence. Traces of influence remain -- the hard-earned spaces of Burial and The Bug vie with the berserk melodrama of Xiu Xiu and Grouper's sad-eyed glow, D'Angelo's pervert soul gets cleansed in the intimacy of Phil Elvrum's Microphones, Angelo Badalamenti's swollen Twin Peaks atmospheres find a cradle in Madlib's lax lope. The band's sound and response to the dubstep moment is very much their own. Sceneless and untethered from etiquette and genre codes, Crooks & Lovers floats through dubstep and hip-hop, jazz, techno and ambient, post-rock, UK garage and film scores to startling effect.

Title: Carbonated
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $14.00
Catalog #: HF 004LTD-CD
After releasing their debut album Crooks & Lovers in 2010 to huge critical acclaim and racking up numerous end of year lists including the shortlist for The Guardian's (UK) First Album Award, plus sell-out tours in North America, Australia and Europe, London duo Mount Kimbie announce the news of their next EP, Carbonated. This EP follows the release of the Blind Night Errand EP and will be the final release from the album. "Carbonated," the lead track on the EP, is joined by two previously-unreleased tracks, the buoyant effervescence of "Flux" and "Bave's Chords., which showcase the lush, elegant percussive sound Mount Kimbie have become known for. "Bave's Chords" was recorded around their early EP Maybes and "Flux" was created during the album recordings. Airhead, who's shortly releasing his own album on Brainmath and is a member of James Blake's live band, subtly twists "Carbonated" with his remix, while Belgian producer & DJ Peter Van Hoesen creates a six-minute dark techno rework for the dancefloor. "Adriatic," also from Crooks & Lovers, is transformed completely by Klaus with his style of detailed production hitting the mark once more. Crooks & Lovers defined.

Title: Back And 4th
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 2CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: HF 005CD
With dubstep's big push into the mainstream, stirring up all manner of hybrids, variants and mutations, it's worth remembering that some have been creating fresh twists on the current generation of global bass music from its very inception. Paul Rose aka Scuba, and his Hotflush label have, since 2003, had experimentation and genre-collision etched into the very structures of everything they do. Putting out key tunes by the core pioneers of dubstep, but also by true outliers like Mount Kimbie, Joy Orbison and Sepalcure, Hotflush has created a sense of absolute consistence in diversity: multiple sounds united by true craftsmanship and high-tech expression of complex emotion. Joining the UK underground to the deep-rooted techno culture of Berlin, where Rose is now resident, the label is a vital nexus in the flow of musical information that is fuelling the current innovative climate. So next time you hear someone talking about "post-" this or "future-" that, consider that maybe the times are just catching up with Hotflush. Back And 4th features 10 brand-new exclusive tracks from bass music's most innovative producers including: dBridge, Roska, Boddika and FaltyDL as well as a collection of essentials from Hotflush's catalog with tracks and remixes from James Blake, Untold, Pangaea, 2562 and more. Other artists include: Boxcutter, Scuba, Sigha, George FitzGerald, Incyde, Jamie Vex'd and TRG & Dub U.

Artist: SEPALCURE
Title: Sepalcure
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: HF 006CD
This is the debut full-length by the duo of Travis Stewart (Machinedrum) and Praveen Sharma (Braille) aka Sepalcure, utilizing the broader canvas of the album format to develop their collaborative process and incorporate the diverse influences present in each artist's solo work into their sonic mixture. Machinedrum's much-heralded Rooms LP reflects the impact of the frenetic, paranoid rhythms of the modern Chicago underground on the wider electronic world, while Sharma's Braille productions highlight his emotional sensibility and melodic sensuality. "Yuh Nuh See" takes the bite out of juke's trademark staccato bass and looping vocals, washing the tension away with lush melodies and dubbed-out atmospherics, while "Eternally Yrs" is a burbling update of the rave-house sound, with processed vocals rubbing up against woodblock beats and a relentlessly bouncing bass line. "The One" and first single "Pencil Pimp" are destined to light up dancefloors worldwide with their variations on classic house, while tracks like "See Me Feel Me" and "Outside" are breezy and sophisticated.

Artist: TOASTY
Title: The Knowledge/Like Sun
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HF 006EP
"Repressed, Toasty's (aka Toasty Boy) third 12", from Nov. 2004. 'The Knowledge' is arguably still his best tune, exemplary 'breakstep' from the nascent days before the ink had dried on the dubstep blueprint. Features on DJ Scud and I-Sound's second Wasteland mix CD, and more recently Miss Kittin's 2CD mix on the Resist label." --Rob Buschgans

Artist: SCUBA
Title: Personality
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $14.00
Catalog #: HF 007CD
Scuba is the production and DJ alias of Paul Rose, the curator of Hotflush Recordings, a label which, having released some of the most important tracks of the formative period of dubstep, has grown into a leading player in the wider world of electronic music. A celebrated and influential DJ, Scuba was voted #25 in Resident Advisor's 2011 poll of the world's Top 100 DJs and has also been nominated for several categories in DJ Magazine's Best of British 2011 Awards. In 2011, Scuba released his Adrenalin EP, picking up radio plays from Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, Rob Da Bank as well as Mistajam, illustrating how his sound has mutated into previously-unexplored areas. Alongside Adrenalin, Scuba also released his edition of K7!'s DJ Kicks series, which has made notable appearances on several "Best of 2011" lists. Scuba's third album through Hotflush, Personality, features 11 brand-new tracks and takes in a wealth of genres across contemporary dance music, proving once again Scuba's place at the cutting-edge of the electronic music scene. "Where he once used dubstep as the foundation for his distinctive productions, this time he's taking prog house, trance, big beat, rave, old techno, and synth pop, and packaging it up in something stylishly retro, all coated in a futuristic 2012 sheen... one of the gutsiest, risky things a pillar of the scene like Scuba could have done." --Pitchfork (8.1)

Artist: ELEMENTAL
Title: Deep Under
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HF 011EP
"Elemental comes from a breaks background, with a release with Mutiny on Cyberfunk Records to his name. But last year he caught the dubstep bug and HF011 bears the fruits of his subsequent labours. Drawing on diverse influences from techno to broken beat and following the Hotflush tradition of contrasting tracks on a 12", we think this release is one of the best yet. 'Deep Under' rolls like a runaway train. Cascading half-step beats, thundering bass and techno stabs churn in the melting pot with this one, resulting in a pounding groove capable of beating any dancefloor into submission. 'Sparkle' flips the script. Keeping hold of the sub bass vibe, Elemental takes a more laid back approach on this, with shimmering pads and a surreal plucked riff that flutters in and out of your consciousness."

Artist: ENVOY, LUKE
Title: Gamma
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HF 012EP
"Amazingly, this is the first release from ridiculously talented new producer Luke Envoy. Taking his influences from drum n' bass and grime, Luke serves up a couple of instant dubstep crossover classics. 'Gamma' has been battered by everyone from the Plastician (Radio 1) to Tayo and all the hottest DJs on the pirates. 'Honour Kill' was only finished two hours before the lacquers were cut so it's as fresh as it gets!"

Artist: SCUBA
Title: Twista
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HF 013EP
"After three outings on the Scuba sub-label, which ranged from crunching electro-dubstep to the fluttering emotive soundscapes of the most recent 12", Scuba finally touches down on the main label. With a distinctive sound recognised as one of the big hitters in dubstep, these two tracks push the envelope further for Hotflush and Scuba. 'Twista' tore the roof off the legendary DMZ first birthday party in March, with crunching live guitars colliding with a reggae off-beat and enormous sub bass. This was a Hatcha exclusive before the likes of Joe Nice, Distance and Mark One got on the case. Plate picks up the techno/electro baton from the last Scuba 12", mixing up chasmic reverb drums, swooping synths and the trademark Scuba sub."

Artist: BENGA & WALSH/WALSH & KROMESTAR
Title: Military/Panik Room
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HF 014EP
"HF 014 presents two big collaborations featuring Croydon's latest rising dubstep star, Walsh. On 'Military' he teams up with one of the godfathers of the scene, Benga, whose releases on Big Apple are legendary and has recently appeared on Planet Mu. This has been one of the biggest tunes of the last few months, and on first listen it's easy to see why! Kromestar is another relative newcomer who made big waves with his debut release Kalawanji. This one mixes digidub and 4/4 in a killer groove."

Artist: VACCINE/INTEX SYSTEMS
Title: Anesthetic/Destroy
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HF 015.2EP
"The second part of HF015 features two U.S.-based producers making big waves in the world of dubstep. Vaccine follows up her debut on the Scuba label, combining sledge hammer drums, crushing bass and the lightest of fluttering melodies for exactly what you'd expect from the most exciting new producer on the scene. On the flip, British-born Intex Systems comes with the darkness. Pounding drums and bass mix with sweeping pads announcing the arrival of another big talent on Hot Flush. Both tracks have been hammered by Mary Anne Hobbs on Radio 1."

Artist: BENGA & WALSH
Title: Bingo
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HF 015EP
"The first installment of the fifteenth release from Hotflush touches down. Big hitters Benga & Walsh make their second outing on the label with Bingo, a track that has been shattering bassbins on dub over the last few months. Marlow has made his mark on the scene during 2006 and keeps up the good work with 'Road Kill,' his debut outing on Hotflush. Gravious carries on where he left off on his excellent 12" on the Scuba label. Temple Ball keeps it very deep and very subby."

Artist: NYABINGI
Title: Belgium Chocolate/Cannibal Run
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HF 016EP
"Paul Rose should be he awarded an OBE for how much he's on it with Hot Flush. Nyabingi is a new name, but a old dubstep soldier. Both tracks weld Detroit electroid computerized funk. Tugging you back underground with its careful arrangement if frequencies at the lowest end of the spectrum."

Artist: VACCINE
Title: Breathless/Side Effects
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HF 017EP
"The biggest release yet from Vaccine, who recently guested to widespread acclaim on Mary Anne Hobbes' Radio 1 Experimental show, following up from her 12"s on the Scuba label (Wishful Thinking/Signal to Noise) and Hotflush 015ii (Anaesthetic). Drawing inspiration from Synaesthesia and her melting pot of musical influences, Vaccine has had instant success and has become the first female dubstep producer to make an impact on the scene. Her DJ mixes as well have attracted recognition for their careful commitment to precise blends, mixing in key, and unexpected inclusions. And yes, the picture on the artwork is of her!"

Artist: BOXCUTTER
Title: Philly/Endothermic
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HF 018EP
2007 release, repressed. "Boxcutter makes the kind of weighty productions that share the broad appeal of Burial or Vex'd, while keeping one foot firmly planted in the more melodic, electro-centered margins of the genre. Packed with gritty bass, glitched-up beats and all manner of multi-layered furies, he first roused the dubstep community's appetite in 2005 with 12"s on Hotflush and Planet Mu. A true heavyweight of the scene, the incredibly inventive and original Boxcutter sound continues to defy expectations. For the latest Hotflush 12", Boxcutter delivers yet again two fantastic tracks from his array of sounds. On the A-side is 'Philly,' a jazzier number with a syncopated assault of crisp drums, as featured on Hotflush's compilation CD Space and Time. It is backed with 'Endothermic,' a tune drifting more on the laid-back side, with dazzling warm synths and a deep bass line."

Artist: JAZZSTEPPA
Title: Jakin/Two
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HF 019EP
2008 release. "Quite possibly Hotflush's biggest and most ground-breaking release to date, with two productions from newcomers Jazzsteppa. Formed in 2006 from Berlin, Germany, they fuse aspects of dub, glitchy electronica, jazz, dubstep and more, utilizing both live and pre-produced elements in their performances. Jazzsteppa consists of four major members: Barbie on trombone and MC duties, Mathieu Pe on trumpet and effects, Katalyze! on production and noise, and Xperimentalist on drums, effects and production. Expanding on the elements presented in their taster, 'One' featured on the Hotflush Presents Space and Time LP, this 12" starts with 'Jakin,' a more melodic piece, yet not lacking in deep bass, with meaty drums and solid assaults of live horns throughout. 'Two' takes it in a completely different direction, upping the BPM and the distortion, with more experimentation on drum patterns and plenty of bass, while still leaving room for a melodic finish."

Artist: SCUBA
Title: Hard Boiled/Tell Her
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HF 020EP
2008 release. "Hotflush Recordings' 20th release presents two tracks from Scuba's debut album, A Mutual Antipathy. 'Hard Boiled' is a cavernous, spaced-out, minimalist excursion, chewing up and spitting out the Berlin-influenced techno-centric slant on dubstep that has established itself in recent months. 'Tell Her' touches on the classic Scuba contrast of twisted percussion and floating melodies, glacial strings and deepest sub, but with a result that seems completely detached from anything to previously emerge from dubstep's melting pot of ideas and sounds. Enthusiastically received by Mary Anne Hobbs on Radio 1, and firmly in the boxes of Tayo, Laurent Garnier, and all the usual dubstep suspects, this innovative 12" is just a taste of what promises to be one of the most forward-thinking dubstep releases of the year."

Artist: MOUNT KIMBIE
Title: Maybes
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HF 021EP
"Hotflush Recordings presents a brand new production duo that eludes classification: Mount Kimbie. Based in London, they have developed a truly unique sound whose experimental rhythms lend themselves to the fringes of dubstep, wonky and hip hop, but ooze with emotion and echoing ambient soundscapes that take the listener to an entirely different place. Due for release in the beginning of 2009, this first release features four tracks which capture their evolving sound. The minds behind Mount Kimbie, Dominic Maker and Kai Campos, both 22, met at university and began making music together in a home studio in Peckham. Hints of their influences from hip hop, jazz, dubstep and experimental electronica can be heard in their productions. The EP has already been well received, with support DJs including Mary Anne Hobbs' BBC Radio 1 Experimental show (on which they also recently performed a guest mix), Scuba on his podcast for XLR8R, Rob Booth's Electronic Explorations show, Ramadanman's podcast mix for Dub War NYC, and Alex Incyde on Sub FM."

Artist: SCUBA
Title: Klinik/Hundreds And Thousands
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HF 022EP
"The first full 12" from Scuba since the release of his debut album A Mutual Antipathy touches down on Hotflush with two killer tracks illustrating the development of the Scuba sound. The dubstep/techno amalgamation has continued to gather pace in recent months and the A side of HF022, 'Klinik,' encapsulates this collision of genres perfectly. Rolling beats, syncopated variations, crushing sub and cavernous synths collide in what has been a staple of Scuba's acclaimed DJ sets recently. The AA side lowers the bpm to a tempo only heard from Scuba on his SCB edit of 'Hard Boiled' which surfaced in 2008 with Marcel Dettmann's remix of 'From Within.' Taking the theme deeper into distorted static than that track, 'Hundreds and Thousands' pushes the boundaries of the Scuba sound into uncharted territory."

Artist: MOUNT KIMBIE
Title: Sketch On Glass
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HF 023EP
"Mount Kimbie have carved out another superb foursome for Hotflush, and once again the music is just as comfortable in the hiphop or electronica realm as it is dubstep. Folksy melodies and ducking piped synths swoop over garage cheek and serrated bass in opener 'Sketch On Glass,' before 'Serged' takes us deeper and darker with its anti-quantised beats, spring reverb drips and surgically-altered vocals. Flipside, an epic sonic vista in '50 Mile View' makes way for delicate instrumental RnB before the introverted 2-step bleep of 'At Least.'"

Artist: SCUBA
Title: Aesaunic EP
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 2x12"
Price: $20.00
Catalog #: HF 024EP
"Hotflush Recordings presents a new EP from Scuba, following on from the success of his Klinik/Hundreds and Thousands 12" (HF022). Over the five tracks, Scuba covers the full spectrum of his sound, developing the house and techno influenced dubstep that has been such a feature of 2009 and wading into new territory with 'Symbiosis,' a half-time 170bpm excursion that has been supported by DBridge and Instra:mental on their seminal Autonomic podcast."

Artist: SEPALCURE
Title: Love Pressure
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.50
Catalog #: HF 025EP
"Hotflush presents the debut of production duo Sepalcure based in Brooklyn, New York City. Travis Stewart (Machinedrum) and Praveen Sharma (Praveen & Benoît) show their love for bass and 90s house a capella, resulting in a unique blend of tribal dub, twostep and soulful rhythms. Detroit techno chords slice through wooden beats and neon synths drenched in spacious atmospherics, proving equally fitting for late nights in the club and rainy evenings at home."

Artist: JOY O
Title: Wade In/Jels
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.50
Catalog #: HF 027EP
Repressed. "Since the release of his debut Hyph Mngo that swept the global dance music world in 2009, British producer Peter O'Grady (aka Orbison) makes his return on Hotflush Recordings as Joy O in 2011. These two productions take a more straightforward approach, toeing along the lines of classic house music, infused with this talented producer's own signature style, weaving rolling acidic basslines in 'Wade In' and uplifting melodies in 'Jels' and over shuffling Roland drums and blissful atmospherics."

Artist: TOASTY/SEARCH & DESTROY
Title: Candyfloss (Loefah Remix)/The Knowledge (Vex'd Remix)
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HFRMX 001EP
"Two of the biggest releases on Hot Flush to date get the remix treatment from what are arguably the underground's hottest artists. The rub of Toasty's 'The Knowledge' (HF006) by Vex'd takes the vein of their massively acclaimed album Degenerate (Planet Mu). Having just been named Guest of the Year on Radio 1's Breezeblock show, Vex'd are turning heads around the world at the moment with their slick production and mind-bending distorted bass. This track has been smashed on dubplate by everyone from Plasticman to Mary Anne Hobbes, cementing their global reputation. Fans of the now-legendary DMZ label will be familiar with Loefah, sometime collaborator with the Digital Mystikz. Famed for his minimal-yet-crushing style, he's taken the silky 'Rhodes of Candyfloss' (HF003) and moulded it into an LFO-driven monster. This is dubstep at it's purest."

Artist: TOASTY/SEARCH & DESTROY
Title: The Knowledge (Untold Remix)/Candyfloss (Loefah Remix)
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HFRMX 001II-EP
"Hotflush Recordings presents a special re-release of HFRMX001 from 2006. The original two remixes have been re-mastered and will be available again across two 12"s and accompanied by two previously unreleased remixes. The first plate brought back the original Vex'd remix of 'The Knowledge' with a previously unreleased Toasty remix of 'Candyfloss.' For the second plate, the crushing original Loefah remix of 'Candyfloss' by Search and Destroy returns, with its signature half-step march and a soundsystem-destroying bassline. On the flip is a brand new remix of Toasty's 'The Knowledge' by Untold that has been making the rounds around dubstep parties worldwide, with its creative manipulation of the original vocal samples and a devastating amount of bass weight. With DJ support from Joe Nice, Loefah, Scuba, Ramadanman, Dave Q, and Incyde, 'The Knowledge' remix was also just featured in the Hotflush mix for Mary Anne Hobbs' show on BBC Radio 1."

Artist: TOASTY/ELEMENTAL
Title: Angel/Sparkle
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HFRMX 002EP
"The second Hot Flush Remix release presents killer rubs of two of the most ground-breaking tracks on the label to date. The first side holds some extremely exciting work from techno/experimental/electronic legend Si Begg, a minimal nu-dub interpretation of the Hot Flush classic 'Angel' by the enigmatic Toasty (originally released on HF009 in 2005). On the flip, the mercurial talent that is Boxcutter gets busy with a deep and dark remix of Elemental's 'Sparkle.'"

Artist: SCUBA
Title: Ruptured (Surgeon Remix)
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: HFRMX 003EP
"The defining feature of bass music in 2008 has been the expansion of the dubstep sound across disparate genres. Scuba's debut long player, A Mutual Antipathy exemplified this phenomenon, mixing dubstep's bass rumble with the eccentricities of dub, techno and electronica into a sprawling cinematic landscape. To complete the project, six tracks from the album have now been remixed by producers of a similar disposition, adding their interpretations of Scuba's vision. The remixes will be released in quick succession across three 12"s. The remixers: 'Ruptured (Surgeon Remix)': Since exploding onto the scene in 1995, Surgeon has been one of the most consistently original techno artists, with groundbreaking releases on Tresor and Dynamic Tension, among others. Poppies (Substance Dub Version): Part of the Scion duo, Substance (aka DJ Pete) is a legend of Berlin techno, whose past releases include the Basic Channel Arrange And Process collection."

Artist: SCUBA
Title: The Upside (Martyn Remix)
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: HFRMX 004EP
"The defining feature of bass music in 2008 has been the expansion of the dubstep sound across disparate genres. Scuba's debut long player, A Mutual Antipathy (Hotflush) exemplified this phenomenon, mixing dubstep's bass rumble with the eccentricities of dub techno and electronica into a sprawling cinematic landscape. To complete the project, six tracks from the album have now been remixed by producers of a similar disposition, adding their interpretations of Scuba's vision. 'The Upside' (Martyn's Down Mix) -- Martyn is one of the new stars of dubstep, having almost single-handedly started a 2-step revival, he has released some of the most sought-after music of 2008 on his own 3024 label. Twitch (Jamie Vex'd Remix) -- one half of influential dubstep innovators Vex'd, Jamie has recently been working alone -- this is the first of his solo productions to be released."

The remixes will be released in quick succession across three 12"s and will also be available for download. Marcel Dettmann is one of the hottest properties in techno, thanks to a slew of incredible releases and his recent Berghain mix CD on the Ostgut label. 'Hard Boiled (SCB edit)' -- SCB is a previously unexplored musical side of Paul Rose (aka Scuba)."

Artist: MOUNT KIMBIE
Title: Mount Kimbie Remixes Pt. 1
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HFRMX 006EP
"Hotflush presents the first of two EPs of remixes of Mount Kimbie. On the first, Dom and Kai's HF021 debut 'Maybes' gets a soulful treatment from their sometime collaborator James Blake, as heard on Scuba's recent Sub:Stance mix on Ostgut Ton, while 'Serged' from HF 023EP is reshaped into woozy garage by New Yorker FaltyDL. On the flip, DJ Mag's 2009 Best Breakthrough Producers Instra:mental transform 'At Least' into a blissed-out, bass-heavy 4/4 roller."

Artist: MOUNT KIMBIE
Title: Mount Kimbie Remixes Pt. 2
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HFRMX 007EP
"The second EP of Mount Kimbie remixes features Panorama Bar's Tama Sumo & Prosumer reworking 'William' into a shuffling deep house groove, and Scuba under his SCB guise delivering a murky, cerebral techno remix of 'Vertical'."

Artist: NYABINGI
Title: Bionicle
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HFT 001EP
"Rising from the ashes of Hotflush's now discontinued side label Scuba, comes the first release on a renewed imprint, Hotflush Two. It presents two new tracks produced by Nyabingi, aka Vicious MC of London's Slaughter Mob. Rough, metallic synths permeate through 'Bionicle,' while in 'Shamanu (Japanese Wolf)' the sharply sequenced drum patterns remain, yet with a deeper bass line and strangely wonky scratch samples, more reminiscent of his previous Hotflush release, Belgium Chocolate/Cannibal Run."

Artist: TRG & DUB U
Title: Losing Marbles
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HFT 002EP
2008 release. "The second release on Hotflush offshoot label HF2 comes in the shape of collaboration between the prolific Romanian producer, TRG, and a new name from across the pond, Dub U, plus a remix from one of the most exciting talents to emerge in bass music recently, 2562. The original is a 3:2 reducer, drenched in delays, crunching percussion and floating effects. This is the sound of two producers experimenting with contrasting influences, as sub-bass collides with techno sensibilities to create something a bit different. On the flip, 2562 produces another stormer to add to his already impressive discography. Adding his trademark garage influence to the minimized vision of the original, the result is a dubbed-out dancefloor killer which has been shaking out clubs from Bristol to Berlin."

Artist: ONO, EMI
Title: Kuro Shinju/Moon
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: HFT 003EP
"Hotflush Recordings presents a brand new face on HF2: Emi Ono, originally from Japan, but now residing in Ontario, Canada. On this, her first release, she delivers two tracks that take a hatchet to generic norms, incorporating a minimal soundscape but rolling at an accelerated, dubstep-centric tempo. 'Kuro Shinju' bubbles and bounces with sub bass pulses, warm synths and syncopated rhythmic touches. On the flip, 'Moon' strips the vibe right back, with half-step edges, beautiful electronic bells and tech-ish bleeps throughout."

Artist: SIGHA
Title: Bruised/Expansions
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HFT 004EP
"The fourth release on Hotflush Two presents Sigha, a new producer based in London, UK. With 'Bruised' and 'Expansions,' Sigha continues to draw the Hotflush Two label down a deeper, more techno-infused path. His musical influences come from artists such as Shed, Marcel Dettmann, and Pole, as well as dubstep masters Martyn and 2562. Both tracks were featured on Scuba's recent podcast mix for XLR8R magazine, and have received support from DJs like Ramadanman of Hessle Audio, and Alex Incyde of Sub FM."

Artist: PANGAEA
Title: Bear Witness/Mosaix
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HFT 005EP
"The next release on Hotflush Two presents a pair of tracks from Pangaea, based in Leeds, UK. After releasing two epic 12"s on Hessle Audio in 2007 and 2008, Pangaea moves on to Hotflush, with two brand new productions that have already been receiving great response. 'Bear Witness' is a deep stepper, showing true emphasis on the low-end. On the flip, 'Mosaix' is a jazzier cut with a shuffling two-step feel. With DJ support from Scuba, Ramadanman, Untold, Rob Booth, Dave Q, and Incyde, these two tracks were also just featured in the Hotflush mix for Mary Anne Hobbs' show on BBC Radio 1."

Artist: UNTOLD
Title: Sweat/Dante
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HFT 006EP
"So then, another month, another stupidly good Hotflush record -- how do they do it? Mutating swamp-garage master Untold tones things down a bit for Scuba's label, and first up is 'Sweat' -- rolling 2-step breaks that reek of classic Wookie, sticky chocolate bass and intricate synth trickery that interlocks with the delayed topline and dazzling edits. 'Dante' sounds a touch more vintage, with tappy drums, pounding bass pressure, and insistent Rhodes stabs beneath a chiming claxon echo."

Artist: SIGHA
Title: On The Strip/Remembrance
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HFT 007EP
"Hotflush Two presents the second release from the new London-based producer Sigha. Following up from his first EP on Hotflush earlier this year (HFT004 - January), 'Remembrance' and 'On The Strip' delve deeper into Sigha's lush, minimal, bass-infused soundscapes. His influences come from minimal house, dubstep and dub techno. He runs a night called Medium, at Plastic People in East London, and can also be found working behind the counter at the legendary BM-Soho record shop."

Artist: UNTOLD
Title: Just For You
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HFT 008EP
"Following up on his first Hotflush EP earlier this year and his devastating remix of Toasty's 'The Knowledge,' Untold returns to Hotflush Two with his third release on the label. Reputed for his truly unique production style incorporating creative sampling, crunchy percussion and relentless bass pressure, Untold's Just For You bleeds with energy. Taking a 4/4 direction and throwing back to the tribal stomps and piano stabs of earlier rave tunes, it simply destroys the dancefloor. On the flip, Roska, the hottest property in London's UK Funky scene, takes it down in tempo with a rolling bassline and his trademark grooving percussion. One the most influential producers in UK music today, with a slew of releases in the pipeline, Roska is well known for his percussive style, distinctive bass and 'Roska' vocal drops. His remix of Jamie George's 'Wonderful Day' has been making huge waves lately, and his productions have infected clubs all over the UK and on the London pirates. DJ support from Scuba, 2562, Ramadanman, Appleblim, Joe Nice, Incyde and many more."

Artist: JOY ORBISON
Title: Hyph Mngo/Wet Look
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HFT 009EP
"Massive massive massive record. For the ninth release on Hotflush Two, a new producer based in London steps to the fore: Joy Orbison, with two tracks resonating somewhere between dubstep, funky, and future soul. 'Hyph Mngo' is the year's most talked-about track in the blogosphere; championed by Martin 'Blackdown' Clark and maligned by Simon Reynolds, it has already become a smash in clubs across the world. On the flip, 'Wet Look' maintains the vibe."

Artist: SIGHA
Title: Rawww
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HFT 010EP
"Hotflush Two presents a 3-track EP from London-based producer Sigha. Developing his sound from his first two releases on Hotflush which circulated on the edge of dubstep, these tracks dive headlong into deep, dubbed out house and techno, soaked in sub bass."

Artist: SIGHA
Title: Shake
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HFT 011EP
"Brand new EP on Hotflush Recordings from Sigha, a producer who has made quite a name for himself since becoming affiliated with the Hotflush family. Deep, intricate and atmospheric techno is Sigha's style and this has to be a collection of his strongest music to date. Absolutely awesome EP, don't sleep on this."

Artist: FITZGERALD, GEORGE
Title: The Let Down/Weakness
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: HFT 012EP
"Hotflush Recordings proudly presents the debut release from new London-based producer George FitzGerald. Part of the Man Make Music collective, George FitzGerald comes as the latest addition to the Hotflush Two roster. A perfect illustration of contemporary electronic production in a post-Hyph Mngo era, Fitzgerald continues the Hot Flush Two archetypal strand of dubstep-not-dubstep, referencing elements of Basic Channel-esque dub and ambience embedded into the jagged groove of modern UK garage. DJ support so far comes from Scuba, Joy Orbison and Appleblim."

Artist: LOCKED GROOVE
Title: Rooted
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.50
Catalog #: HFT 020EP
"Hotflush presents the debut 12" from Belgian newcomer Locked Groove aka Tim Van de Meutter. The young producer delivers three hypnotizing and genre bending tracks that expertly weave the sounds of Berghain, soulful house and UK garage into a single crushing package. The Rooted EP draws you in with the title track, bouncing along to an acid baseline, then moves onto 'Drowning,' a moody techno track that was included on Scuba's DJ-Kicks mix compilation, filled with drum and ambient samples taken from field recordings. Lastly, 'Change,' a production that smartly melds classic house grooves with industrial techno, demonstrates Locked Groove's rhythmic finesse and long-term promise as an artist."

Artist: SCUBA/TOASTY
Title: Space & Time Sampler
Label: HOTFLUSH RECORDINGS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: SNT 001EP
"As a small taster of the upcoming Hotflush compilation album Space and Time, this limited white label 12" presents a brand new track from Scuba, and a new remix by Vex'd of the Hotflush classic 'The Knowledge' by Toasty. Scuba's 'Inmost' delivers a minimal, night driving tune with a bit of an '80s vibe. One for the deep skankers. Vex'd brings a 2nd remix of 'The Knowledge' to the table, following up on its first remix of the track on Hotflush's first remix 12". This time around, their take on the original preserves its breakstep tendencies but still leaves it infused with classic Vex'd bass distortion."

America's totem of bass FaltyDL takes leave from the original 'On Deck' with a low burring bassline and elegantly woven melodies drawn warmly across the whole. South London's Deadboy offers an understated modern jungle remix of 'Before' with skittering hats and heavy bass that can't fail to light up floors and faces."

Artist: SCUBA

"Part 2 of a series of limited 12" remixes taken from Scuba's Triangulation (Interpretations) album. On this 12" Scuba's back with the old skool vibes on 'You Got Me (I Got You)' but confidently skips the line by keeping it firmly in this moment. "Part 3 of a limited series of 12" vinyl taken from the Triangulation (Interpretations) album. Joe made an immediate impact on the scene with his 12"s on Hessle Audio and Applepips; his rework of 'So You Think You're Special' has a slowly blossoming groove underpinning stuttering percussion, jangling keys and an expertly playful melody that opens out across the sparse background. South London's Deadboy offers an understated modern jungle remix of 'Before' with skittering hats and heavy bass that can't fail to light up floors and faces."
