Title: Twitchy Droid Leg Remixes Part Two
Label: OFFSHORE (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: OSR 018EP
"'A truly devastating piece of work... you simply would not notice Armageddon with this playing on headphones...'--Mary Anne Hobbs. Praised by all for its appearance on Clever's Troubled Waters mix CD, 'Twitchy Droid Leg' is the most talked about track in Offshore history. In celebration of that, we are releasing a two part remix series by today's most interesting electronic music producers. Part two features Martsman and Vex'd. Martsman made his Offshore debut on the second installment of the Commercial Suicide Split Series. Listeners who thought that 'Ago' was spastic and itchy, will be astounded by this remix; a single listen will not do this track justice. Notable for idiosyncratic edits, Martsman seeks to bend the listener's ear and mind. Come to think of it, we should have called this the 'Fit for a Straight Jacket Mix.' Vex'd strip down the original to craft this post-apocalyptic dubstep soundtrack. Snippets of the source and cinematic string work are craftily laid over punishing drums and window rattling bass. In true Vex'd fashion, this remix would make Trent Reznor weep."

Artist: GRAPHIC FEAT. BEANS/DARKSTAR
Title: I Am Metal/Lilyliver
Label: OFFSHORE (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: OSRLTD 003EP
"A pair of Starkey remixes! 'Philadelphia's Starkey is carving out a distinctive sound with his synth-led vocal tracks and bootlegs, and he comes really correct with a gleaming remix of Darkstar's 'Lily Liver,' with Neleswa's tough vocals surrounded by slippy cyber sounds.' Mixmag. Starkey needs no introduction -- he runs Slit Jockey with partner Dev 79, hosts Seclusiasis Radio every 1st Monday of the month on SubFM, DJs across the US and world (including Fabric in London), constantly bang out slamming remixes (his Zomby remix just hit wax) and always champion his 'street bass' sound. He joins the Offshore stable with two brilliant remixes. The first -- Graphic's 'I Am Metal,' which features Beans of Anti Pop Consortium. Starkey takes the lyrics from this avant-garde MC and slows them down just a bit to couple them with a serious bass work out that flirts with 4x4 in a few sections. Next up, we have his take on Darkstar's 'Lily Liver.' The original has only been out for a few months on Darkstar's own 2010 imprint and now we are going to bang you over the head with Starkey's rework. He keeps the lovely female R&B vocal in tact and then just rips the rest of the track apart in total Starkbot fashion. This 12" will not disappoint!"
