PITCH 001EP
"Search & Destroy presents: 'Pitch Black,' Sister label of 'Destructive Recordings.' Providing a launch pad for the lesser known, more experimental, 'out there,' sci-fi tinged, evil twin of dubstep. We want to supply an avenue for the darker, deeper, bass-heavy side of underground dance music. This is the first of many releases from the stable of producers pushing that envelope, science fiction music. Keeping the vibes 'Pitch Black.' Search & Destroy: 'Wavescape (Vex'd Remix)' -- Search & Destroy gets the Vex'd abusive touch on this refix. Plunging the listener into a chasm of renegade frequencies. Starting slowly with stuttered vocals and effects, building up into their signature helping of distorted bass and rolling beats, Vex'd twist this track out in their own unclassifiable style, like the black sheep of dubstep. Scarecrow: 'Taken.' New kid on the block, Scarecrow, provides his debut release in the form of 'Taken.' A mysterious producer who has caught the attention of many with his evil, minimal sound. 'Taken' is a dark, almost gothic journey into the future. Sultry, distant vocals pull you into this futuristic, bass-induced halfstep roller."

PITCH 002EP
"Your next installment of sci-fi-tinged beats, pushing the darker, evil twin of dubstep. Featuring two tracks from artists pushing the envelope. Elemental: 'Bleep' -- Having released material on Hotflush and Destructive Recordings, North London-based producer Elemental continues to raise his game on this release. 'Bleep' is a futuristic dancefloor destroyer, laced with Elemental's signature hypnotizing synth riffs and distorted, dubbed-out basslines. Elemental continues to gel the more harder style with a blatant dub influence, making his productions very distinctive, consistently breaking the mould every time. Mathhead: 'Stagger Dub' -- Brooklyn-based producer Mathhead blesses us with a slice of his dark, electro influenced dubstep. 'Stagger Dub' is a raw and brutal LFO driven halfstep tearout. Reggae licks and a twisted synth build up into a disgusting drop. Shattering snares and industrial sonics assault the senses, making it hard not to skank out to this track."

"Fresh from mixing the latest Fabric 37 CD with Rusko, this 12" is further proof that Caspa is killing dancefloors across the globe. SUBSCAPE
Title:
Slow Moe/Artificial Dreamer
Label:
PITCH BLACK (UK)
Format:
12"
Price:
$11.00
Catalog #:
PITCHB 001EP
"New talent west London-based producer Subscape makes a new addition to the Pitch Black stable, providing science-fiction tinged, dirty dubstep flavours. 'Slow Moe' intros with spacious atmospherics and bleepy echoes, crashing into a disgusting heavy metal-influenced drop. Stuttered techno-infected bass and metallic LFOs mutate over this halfstep roller. 'Artificial Dreamer' is on more of a deeper and musical tip, the title sums this track up perfectly. Starting off with airy chimes and pads that evolve beautifully into a futuristic movie soundtrack, dropping into a moving lfo sub-bass workout."
