We're treated to five Dauner originals (notably, 'Take Your Clothes Off to Feel the Setting Sun', which seems to be his hippy-dip anthem; wouldn't be out of place on the OST to any European take on the whole 60's drug-cinema experience), tunes by Gershwin/Beatles and a version of 'Greensleeves' (in that morose 'Girl-from-Ipanema/Ibiza' stylee). Pseudo-psychedelic touches all around (sitar, extended jams, primal-scream-a-thons) and plenty of exploratory guitar, courtesy of Sigfried Schwab (of
Vampyros Lesbos
fame...). Plenty of that 'Oh, we're still recording?' vibe. And stoned chanting. Positively 'kraut' in presentation (far more so than ANY inhabitants of the post '73 Dieter Dierks produced hard rock junk-boat).
