"ADJ's long dormant Pyramid Transmissions label finally returns to the fold following an incredibly busy period for Mr Jaggers (for he is ADJ!) that has found him delivering the goods for Andrea Parker's Touchin' Bass imprint & shaping up for his debut work for the Ai label. ADJ and John Cranmer (Pathic) combine forces for a four-ply slice of finest UK electroid badness. All the elements are there, a melodic floating chord, a rude ass bassline, state of the art drum machinations and a winning sotto voce lyrical line intoning 'So much temptation...so little time'. You have to say this puts all electro disco pretenders to shame, yet would still sound bitching in any self respecting club environment. The duo's tracks together blend the same adroit grasp of melody and adroit, well defined bass movement -- prime electro, as it should be."

Title: Bake n Bite EP
Label: PYRAMID TRANSMISSIONS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $9.00
Catalog #: PT 006EP
"The latest bomb to drop on the busting club imprint Pyramid Transmissions, comes from Mike Wallis. As Crunch, the influences shared with his co-member Dave Tipper made much of the grinding dark disrupted beats which inspired their name. Here for ADJ's label, the new emissions from the Colony studios sound sleek and more direct by comparison. 'Squirrel' will certainly wreck dancehalls with its cocksure booty swagger and invasive acid lines, 'Locked' rolls like a good un, swathes of sub-low bass swamping the listener, peppered with more than a dash of 2004's Grime sound. 2-step electro fusions begin and end here. 'Grayam' boots up the flipside with a critical break, an acid wobble gradually insinuating itself into the synapses, melodic waves allowing a warm wash of bass to envelop you. 'Loco' depicts a colder, harsher reality -- classic one note electro jam in a style faintly reminiscent of Memory Boy's splendid 'There is no electricity'."

Artist: LONE SHARK
Title: Spoke Duster EP
Label: PYRAMID TRANSMISSIONS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $10.00
Catalog #: PT 007EP
"Fresh twelve on ADJ and Pathic's killer electro label Pyramid Transmissions finding Lone Shark with keys spinning off in whorls over a beat and bass way too heavy for the home stereo system. This is fattest music, designed for the largest spaces and big systems, shocking drum breaks and a low end which will shake the spine into activity or disintegration. 'Vortex (Prozac mix)' introduces some welcome body-funk into the proceedings, matchless electro-boogie for true old skool heads, and some deadly rhythms to scare the new school. 'Spoke Duster' is a sprightly one, echoing the first wave of British electro and techno progenitors, before the word electronic was used freely, liquid music edging into the conclusion of 'Journey's End,' which completes the journey back into Irdial and b12, when there were few of the current divisions around."
