"Real Soon is proud to present the debut release by Berlin-based producer Hauke Freer. Hauke has an old-school production approach, working with contemporary software but using a palette of mainly vinyl samples to give a loose, effortless, raw-sounding edge. 'My Beat' is a dirty, gritty, House work-out featuring deep, filtered chords, lo-fi percussion and roughly chopped vocal pieces. Old-fashioned in a good way -- just the way we like it! 'We Must Face Our Fears' is a smoother, minimal track with a delicate, beautifully measured mesh of percussive knocks, slides & bleeps driven by a pulsing sine wave bass. As the track builds, a classic Detroit-flavoured chord wash brings it all together. Bliss. Hauke Freer grew up in a small town near Hamburg and moved to Berlin in 2000 to work for the techno label Kanzleramt. After spending a year in Australia DJing and working for the label Future Classic, Hauke returned to Berlin to work for the Resopal Schallware label."

"Repeat Orchestra is the project of prolific Düsseldorf-based producer Stefan Schwander (aka Antonelli Electr., Rhythm Maker and A Rocket in Dub). The Making Of EP features three pieces of deliciously deep, warm and dub-inflected electronic house music. Stefan began the Repeat Orchestra project in 1999 with the A Deeper Ground 12" on A Touch of Class, the house sub-label of Düsseldorf's Background Records. The Repeat Orchestra sound builds on a classic Larry Heard/Chicago-style house template, with piano, strings and swirling organs to the fore, but with a very European flavour -- deep, minimal, experimental and full of production detail."

"Ray Valioso is a new project by Swiss producer Agnès. Einladung EP, the debut Ray Valioso release, sees Agnès shifting away from his usual deep, minimal techno territory to explore more house-influenced rhythms and textures. Einladung EP features three varied pieces: 'Get The Strings?' builds with loose, stuttering, metallic percussion playing over a locked bass/organ pulse before opening out into a beautifully detailed mix of chords, high strings and clipped vocal parts. 'Keep It' is a minimal percussion-based track of clicky kick drums and shuffling out-of-time hi-hats. 'Rhodes Island' rides on a warm, repetitive chord sequence that refers back to the classic Basic Channel/Chain Reaction template. "

"LeRosa is Dublin-based Italian producer Leopoldo Rosa. The title track 'Ruski' combines a rough-cut sampled break with a loose, minimal arrangement of sub-bass and liquid synth pads. On the flip, 'Russell' and 'Tempio' are deep, moody house explorations, beautifully suspended by shifting sine wave pads and Rhodes-like chords. Leo began producing his own music in 2000, concentrating initially on electro but broadening his range into unconventional house and techno styles. His debut LeRosa release was the Maike EP on Dublin's D1 Recordings in 2005."

"Atlanta-based DJ and producer Kai Alcé returns to Real Soon for his second release on the label following Corner Manuvers in 2006. The Broken Headlights EP features three cuts of the purest, rough & ready, deep, abstract house music from one of music's up & coming producers. On the A-side, Kai demonstrates his subtle production skills as he creates a beautiful balance of chopped beats and floating chords. The title track 'Broken Headlights' combines stuttering, broken drum parts, deep sub-bass and warm emotional chords, woven with a light vocoder-like synth part and crunchy percussion. 'Gravity' is a dreamy, live-sounding arrangement of grainy beats, modulated chords and chiming keyboard notes. On the flip, 'Hi-Lee Teched Off' is a raw, looped piece of deep Detroit house, soaked in gradually building and shifting Rhodes chords; a great DJ tool in the right hands."

"Amsterdam-based duo Juju & Jordash return with the Time Slip EP. The title track recalls those half-forgotten dreams of positivity and optimism inspired by early U.S. house music... a nostalgic arrangement of arpeggiated synths, high string lines, analog drum machines and a 1980s vintage, New Order-like stepped bass line. 'Housemuzik 1,2,3' takes us into much darker territory, dragging a similar palette of sounds into a dense psychedelic mix of acid guitar, pitched-down demonic vocals and disorienting spacial effects. Don't listen to this with the lights off! 'Fajr Dub' is an epic, stoned dub collage built around classic space echo delay & feedback tricks, spectral voices and a shifting synth bass pattern, all underpinned by a soft pulsing backbone reminiscent of Rhythm & Sound productions. "Kai Alcé returns to Real Soon with a new 3-track EP -- his third release on the label following Corner Manuvers (2006) and Broken Headlights (2007). Polyester Static features two tracks at either end of Kai's stylistic spectrum plus a driving remix by house music legend Chez Damier. The title track is a classic mix of jacking synth bassline, Rhodes piano chords, pitched up cowbells and scat vocals. At the other end of the spectrum, 'Born A Day After' is another great example of Kai's deep, drowsy, beautifully constructed minimalism. On the flip, Chez Damier remixes 'Polyester Static,' heading straight for the dancefloor with a rolling bassline, stabbing chords and submerged vocal -- irresistible pure house music in the best tradition! Kai Alcé is an Atlanta-based DJ and producer with roots in Detroit and New York. "Sun Dance is the debut full release by Berlin's Rising Sun, aka Steffen Laschinski. The EP features Rising Sun originals 'Sun Dance' and 'Candy In My Pocket' - two blissful tracks of old-style house-influenced minimalism infused with the heady atmosphere of early-90s innocence and joy - distant memories of simpler times - beach parties, bonfires, the sun rising over the sea at dawn. On the B-side, Sven Weisemann (Mojuba, liebe*detail, a.r.t.less, Styrax Leaves) remixes 'Sun Dance', stretching it out into a beautiful shape-shifting epic. All tracks are mastered by masked techno maverick Redshape (Delsin, Present, Music Man, Styrax Leaves) and a limited quantity will be available on orange vinyl. Steffen Laschinski is currently best known as the label boss of influential labels Styrax Records, Styrax Leaves and Millions of Moments. Rising Sun have previously featured on split artist releases on the Workshop and Ruin labels."
