"Is this dubstep? What is dubstep? Who cares, when it's this good. Ringo Records drops another super fresh 12". On the A-side, Skream takes apart a D+B classic with his own inimitable style. B-side: L.D. - 'Clock Watching' Oh my God, L.D. is one to watch with this slick reggae and R+B influenced killer."

Artist: COKI
Title: Mad Head/Bass
Label: RINGO RECORDS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.50
Catalog #: RNG 004EP
"The latest release from Ringo Records. 004 sees the man Coki (Digital Mystikz) deliver two dark, skankin' low end, dubbed-out, late night weed smoking grooves with a nod to Jamaica's dancehall scene. Essential."

Artist: L.D.
Title: Swing Dat Skirt/Clock Watchin Dub
Label: RINGO RECORDS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.50
Catalog #: RNG 006EP
"LD's sound is his own. Drawing on his roots, you can hear the drum pan sounds of Jamaica resonating throughout, flashes of Soca drums, subtle tribal nuances, and the ghost of jungle reverberating in the warm, pulsating sub bass. So what next for LD? It seems now is the time for LD to make the transition from behind the scenes and into the limelight. DJ support from Mala, N-Type & DJ Chef."

Artist: KROMESTAR/CLUEKID
Title: Get Up
Label: RINGO RECORDS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: RNG 007EP
"Ringo Records deliver the goods once again. These two tracks have been pounded on dubplate by all the heads, aired to a great reception at events like DMZ, these two tracks are guaranteed to get the dance in full effect. Do not sleep on this one!"

Artist: CLARK VS. MALA/COKI, JOHNNY
Title: Sinners/Goblin
Label: RINGO RECORDS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: RNG 008EP
"Ringo Records, the outward spew of the legendary Transition Studios, snug in the heart of dubstep territory, confound the unsuspecting public with more heavyweight material from the scene's core artists. Mala re-rubs a Johnny Clarke classic with typical panache; reverential dub-wise handling invested with bass technology and infused with Rasta teachings. Fellow Digital Mystik Coki provides a coarse counterpoint with 'Goblin,' a 'Spongebob part 2,' with ferocious synth action that few, if any, can better."

Artist: LD VS. CLUEKID
Title: Jays Reese/The Intro
Label: RINGO RECORDS (UK)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: RNG 010EP
"A strand emerging within dubstep is a mutant jungle strain within the sound. Needless to say, it's impossible to imagine dubstep without the DNA of jungle: it's prominent in so many ways and places, from Burial's Foul Play influences to Loefah's love of the sound itself. Members of the scene used to DJ jungle, from N Type and Kode9 to Jason (Transition's mighty mastering engineer). In fact the whole 'dark' component that makes dubstep distinct from UK garage has its roots in El-B's twin love of Metalheadz and 2step. Jungle is less an influence on dubstep, more like the foundation on which the whole scene, via garage, was built. But in spite of all that, a re-emphasis on jungle-flavored dubs is emerging within dubstep; songs that use chopped breaks, epic pads, and vocal samples like it was 1994, from producers LD and Cluekid."
