"The friendly ghost is back in town with this badboy long player. West London native Caspa opens the proceedings on new label Sub Soldiers in style. Providing dubstep fans with an epic and anthemic ride through some rough bass terrain! Opening track 'Big Headed Slags' has already seen heavy rotation on London pirates and is being championed by scene top-boys Skream, Hatcha and N-Type. A synth and rasta-chant intro gives way to a distorted pulsating bass that hits like a ton of bricks from the soundsystem. 'Tribal Basher" sees Caspa in a dance floor mood, in keeping with his expertise in strong melodies and well timed drops. Opening the next vinyl is 'Custard Chucker' a collaboration with labelmate Rusko (King of Acton). 'Velvet Rooms' -- Caspa switches up into some liquid 2-step. Pumping shuffled drums and sweet-as-you-like vocals underpin a warping bassline that never leaves the brain. Pure class."

2009 repress. "A1. 'Cockney Thug': Rusko opens the EP with undoubtedly one of the biggest tracks this year in the shape of 'Cockney Thug.' If you haven't heard this track you have probably been living under a rock, with huge support from the cream of the dubstep scene including Caspa, N-Type, Hatcha, Skream, Chef to name only a few, also massive support from BIG hitters outside the scene like The Scratch Perverts, Clipz, TC, Sinden, Tayo, Mary Anne Hobbs, Claude Von Stroke, Chase & Status & Artic Monkeys. From the opening this is an all-out dancefloor killer, with its distinctive 'cockney thug' sample and then into the garage driven swinging beat and stomping bass which will keep you hooked before the catchy horn line that has braced almost every dubstep dance floor this year. B1. 'Love Is Real': Rusko goes back to the old skool with this bubbling garage track, showing the true diversity of the EP. With its sweet vocals and luscious strings over the top of a 2-step beat and sub-low 808 garage-style bass, and Todd Edwards style vocal chops on the second drop, this one is sure to get any old skool garage heads up and on their feet. C1. 'Jahova': Further reinforcing the strength of this release is another anthem that again has gained massive support from all the key players in the scene, is the superb dub-driven killer that is 'Jahova.' With its extremely catchy melody, dubbed-out synths and driving bass, this track has caused devastation to many dancefloors across the globe, and is essential for any aspiring dubstep DJ. D1. 'Lions Paw': Rounding off the EP is the dubbed-out splendor that is 'Lions Paw.' This has gained massive support from Skream, who has been battering it on his Rinse FM show as well as his live sets. And with its dub delayed drums and reggae-influenced horns, it's sure to be a firm favorite with anyone into the dub-style sound. This EP really shows the growing strength of the fast rising Sub Soldiers label (offspring to the popular Dub Police imprint) and is an absolute essential to any dubstep DJ's record box."

SUBSOL 005EP
"Mr Chips: Rusko manages to bring yet another absolutely essential release and once you listen to these two tracks it will be clear to see why this man is at the top of his game right now. Support from the likes of Sinden, Switch, The Freestylers, Clipz, Diplo, Ras Kwame and the list goes on, not to mention the battering it has taken within the top ranks of the dubstep scene. Just pure, outrageous bass and beats right here and as you have probably guessed from the title, snippets from the '80s cult TV show catchphrase -- but sadly no sign of Roy Walker. 'Hammertime': Again another big bassline anthem that has been battered by anyone who is anyone in music right now. A loud and crashing intro wakes you up with reggae legend Ranking Joe giving us a taste of what he does best, before the tear out bass kicks in and that will have you nodding your head so hard it will break your neck -- serious release from the one like Rusko."

"Caspa returns with two monster releases. First up 'Louder VIP,' this tune gets rinsed at raves, with its twisted sonics messing up craniums big time! On the AA side one of the biggest dancefloor tunes 'Power Shower' gets 3 rewinds standard. It's pure gutter, so filthy you may have to a shower after each play."

One-sided release. "Finally finding its way on to vinyl, the Buraka Som Sistema is an electronic music project from Portugal. Andro Carvalho, João Barbosa and Rui Pité make up the bass-obsessed Portuguese trio, who have taken the Angolan sound of kuduro and dragged it into the 21st century. Kudoro started out when a group of young African producers began to make techno on old analogue equipment."

"One of the heaviest dubstep tunes ever is now re-released, with the brand new Caspa Remix. Caspa has turned 'Cockney Thug' into a dark monster that slaps you round the face with a buzzsaw and beefier bass line. The Rusko original anthem was taken from

SUBSOL 010EP
"After a short spell away, Caspa is back with one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year on his own Sub Soldiers imprint. First up is an anthem that has been lighting up dancefloors and airwaves globally as of late, in the shape of 'Back For The First Time,' featuring Dub Police label mate D1. Gathering heavy support on BBC Radio 1 from Annie Mac and Zane Lowe, as well as being battered in the clubs by the who's who of dubstep A-listers, this is fast becoming one of the biggest tracks to emerge from the scene so far this year and it's not hard to see why. With its catchy euphoric chords and growling bass, this is no doubt going to be one of the tracks of the summer! On the flip Caspa teams up with another label mate Subscape, for a tune that has torn apart countless dancefloors lately. 'Geordie Racer' takes no prisoners with its driving beats and outrageous basslines; anyone who has been lucky enough to be in a rave when this monster drops will no doubt tell you the carnage it creates in the dance. Again gaining support from dubstep royalty and being featured on Caspa's
MyStyle
mix CD. All in all, this is one obscenely big release that you can't afford to pass on. Big things once again from the Caspa and the Sub Soliders/Dub Police camp."
