SFR 008EP
"The first 2008 release from Guy Gerber's Supplement Facts imprint comes from Gerber himself with 'Disorientation,' including remixes from two of the most hotly-tipped production talents Johnny D and Reboot. 'I made "Disorientation" after a tour in South America in January this year. Some of my friends describe it as a futuristic Ennio Morricone-sounding track, which is pretty amazing. I had the saxophone sample from a friend for a long time and was always playing with it, but all the time it was too "pretty" for me. Until a few friends joined me for a late night session; about 8a.m., I was twisting it through a very cool effect and I got this very weird harmony out of it, and I knew that it was made.' With 'Disorientation,' Gerber's sound has taken a more natural, house-y direction than his previous workings. Just as he describes, 'Disorientation' spends the first half layering: we start with a clean kick drum balanced between a ping-pong ball batting back and forth, synths descend and wash over, a violin strings through the top layer, the bass drops in, the reverb works in between and the saxophone hits for the mid-way drama. Coming down, the tension keeps a steady pace as the layers gradually become less, the bass departs and we are left with only the sounds with which we began."

"The second 2008 release on Gerber's Supplement Facts is a three track EP from three different French producers. Essential. David K, the Parisian producer who has released on labels including Freak n'Chic, Cocoon, Harthouse and Tsuba, and whose live show has taken him around the world to Mexico, England, Spain, Italy, Germany, Israel, Romania and more. This is David's second release on Gerber's Supplement Facts imprint. 'Rue Montmartre' evokes romantic head notions and floaty body motions. The midway 'warm' breakdown is one worth waiting for; and that you know will work the floor. Chris Carrier and DJ W!ld officially formed Catwash in 2005. They have previously released on Get Physical, Crack & Speed and their own label Catwash Records. This is their first EP release for Supplement Facts. 'Brasil,' the style no doubt inspired by the country, is a relentless techno/house journey with heat surrounding it. Varoslav, a Parisian of Czech origin is a self taught producer who has released on labels including 32 Bit Records, Tishomingo, Je T'aime records and Stirsound. This is his first release on Supplement Facts ... expect more to come as he gets further involved with the label. 'Soccasoul' invites the darkness in as it begins, gives way to a more forward pushing bizarre house attitude, welcomes back the darkness for the third-way breakdown and then weirds out until the end."

"After ending 2008 with a well received pair of releases from David K and Varoslav, Supplement Facts are pleased to return with their first release of 2009. Having collaborated on the recent Varoslav single, it is time for Parisian trio dOP to take centre stage with their
Genius Of The Crowd
EP. What began in 2007 with the release of the excellent
Between The Blues
EP on Circus Company, followed by an initial body of work that created appearances on imprints such as Eklo, Orac Records and Milnor Modern now sees the trio of Clement Zemtsov, Damien Vandesande and Jonathan Illel enter 2009 with two great songs that comprise this latest EP. The title song is a wonderful percussive led piece, with some heady and hypnotic beat programming underpinning the spoken monologue that runs throughout from the late, great poet, novelist and story writer Charles Bukowski. The arrangement has a very loose, live feel, continuing the organic, jazz vibe of not only dOP's production work, but their impressive live shows as well. The EP is completed by the addition of 'Mambo Jumbo,' moving further towards to the ideas that can be found in the live shows, as Clement draws inspiration from tribal influences with the clever beat arrangements that grace the first half of, while the keyboard accompaniment by Damien brings a contemporary lounge feeling into the final track. These prominent ideas are reimagined by Supplement kingpin Guy Gerber's subliminal late night excursion, which following on from his recent success with 'Timing,' looks set to be another DJ favourite."

"As Supplement Facts moves further into 2009, we are proud to present our latest EP
Remove Tag
. Keeping in line with our ethos of delivering fantastic music from all corners of the globe, we would like to introduce Italy's Fabio Giannelli to our family of artists, showcasing his eclectic flair and spirit with the track 'Growing.' Sharing the headline spot with Fabio, we also deliver the latest long anticipated excursion from Guy Gerber and Niv Hadas' Reshuffle project entitled 'The Upper Shelf.' Fabio Giannelli first made his debut in 2006 with a series of EPs on the hybrid net label imprint Italo Business before his first substantial release appeared on Oliver Lieb's Maschine a year later. Since then he has presented works on a number of labels, most notably the
Trinidad E Tabago
EP on Thirtyonetwenty. 'Growing' is a delightful piece of percussive driven house, its understated beats complimented by a deeply hypnotic groove that provides its nucleus. The pairing of Guy Gerber and Niv Hadas resulted in two incredible EPs during the initial few months of our label, and to this day their
Hedonism
EP remains one of the most popular releases to date, with 'Paparazzi' in particular being instrumental in part for the direction the label has taken since. 'The Upper Shelf' is another master class in production from the duo, it's vibrant bass hook and heady drums interwoven with linear melodies and a cleverly placed vocal monologue to form a track rich in musicality and promoting Reshuffle's understanding of the dance floor."

"2009 will see Werner release and remix material for Phonica, Mobilee, Mujuba and, today, Guy Gerber's Supplement Facts. The
Come And Talk
EP is a three track selection of the finest modern house grooves. We start with the aptly named 'Open Up.' Percussion is the order of the day. Great hats, scattered toms, and a delicate vocal work the track along in a stripped down style. On 'Talking Back' we have Werner upping the ante and the tempo. Cheeky vocal stab, and drum pattern lead us to the devastating bass drop. And we're only 1 minute 45 in! Locking us down with the heaviest of grooves, we're jacked along on a wave of funk till out of nowhere, BAM.. magical disco breakdown, funk guitar licks and sultry vocal. Then we're off again with the bassline pushing us along. This is huge!"

SFR 015EP
"Supplement Facts Records is ecstatic about its latest addition to the repertoire! The unstoppable Swiss fellow Michel Cleis has been on a streak of strong releases in 2009, lead by his highly popular
La Mezcla
on Cadenza. Michel has been producing contemporary house music with a personal note- presenting a wide musical scope, whilst swaying the dancefloor with a number of his releases throughout his career. Supplement Facts Records' 15th release --
East Of Eden
-- is Michel Cleis' first on the label. The release
East Of Eden
carries 2 tracks. Both are fine avant-garde house music productions. The first ? 'Red Tape' gradually develops, gathering lots of energy, which is released through its second break. The unleashed groove is sure to move and shake. The second, 'Dark Glasses,' is a deeper, but nonetheless grooving and inspiring production. As the title insinuates, the track becomes available just in time for the sunny season! At first glance the innocent intro that leads into this production quickly comes to a halt, when less than two minutes into the track several layers fuse and the first break brings about a welcome change in groove that lets the track fall into its spot. From that point on the groove, dominated by a cheeky drum riff that keeps the energy high and ties the track together. 'Red Tape' emotionally leads from break to break -- leaving the listener yearning for the next sly climax. The track leads on from the flip side with a comparable internationally influenced base and drum structure. 'Dark Glasses' settles fast into a warm groove, the male vocal brings a playful yet dramatic element into play. The varied drum instruments and the base heavy kick wrap up the flow of the production. This creates a 'feel good' groove that maintains the necessary edge and depth to inspire, whilst still working on the floor. At 13 seconds to end of the record, DJs find an effective loop that lets the hidden synth elements of the final part roar one last time."

is an intimate glance into the seemingly borderless music production world of Guy Gerber. Whilst delivering Gerbers' signature production style this release also surprises with its romantic elements and, as usual, he teases the listener with his trademark dream-like adaptations. The inspiration for this release came from Guy's regular performances and majorly from the time spent on the road -- as a guest artist in friends' studios and from his work in 'improvised studios'.

. The label's 20th release from

ensues, a melodic tapestry of house, before
Visionquest
man of the moment Lee Curtiss presents his illustrious style on "I Can Hear You Arthur," a sumptuous number that tows the line between the light and darkness of contemporary dancefloor music. Curtiss alongside fellow Visionquest member Ryan Crosson have both released much original music on Supplement Facts and heralded key releases on the imprint. The broody nature of Supplement Facts rumbles on
Michel Cleis
' "Dark Glasses," presenting a driving track with chimes, echoes and tribal calls and smoothed down with sweet saxophone solos. Crosson collaborates with Guti on "You've Got Me," a tantalizing affair that teases its flavors out slowly. Its skipping beats and sassy vocal licks culminate in an encompassing bass and a swirling breakdown to get lost in. The enigmatic French trio and Supplement Facts label staples, dOP unleash a unique sonic assault of deep and visceral house music on "The Genius Of The Crowd" and "Half Naked." In typical style, dOP flirt with whispered vocals and massage the energies of the body with a playful and soothing approach.
Seuil
's "Ultravision" brought the talented Parisian to Supplement Facts for the first time. The mesmeric progression of liquid bleeps and deep rhythms is heightened by the poignant and husky drawl of
Jaw
bleeding through this enveloping, crisp track. Guy Gerber rounds out the compilation with two of his own releases, the new, ominous, siren-filled "Nothing Can Be True," taken from sessions with
P. Diddy
and closes with the radiant "Hate Love," remixed by
Kate Simko
. Gerber has reinvented his own strain of house music and taken the underground music scene by storm in his short career. Gerber started Supplement Facts in 2006 to explore the outer realms of his imagination, and since then he has embedded it deeply within the world of electronic music. One of the only labels to emerge from Israel, its innovative and original approach has not gone unnoticed by the broader community.
Heartbeats
marks a new chapter as Supplement Facts embark on an expansion through a string of pioneering album projects.
