Tara Nome Doyle's latest EP Agape marks her return to the music scene after a two-year hiatus following the success of her acclaimed sophomore album Værmin. Agape is a profoundly intimate collection of songs documenting TND's emotional journey through grief, commemorating the passing of a loved one. Each track explores different facets of this emotional landscape, showcasing TND's otherworldly performances and unique approach to songwriting. This self-produced EP represents an artistic leap for the Norwegian-Irish songwriter. Skillfully capturing the arresting beauty of her compositions, TNDs minimalistic arrangements feature the haunting melodies of Norwegian-Scottish cellist Sunniva Shaw of Tordarroch (known for her work with Fay Wildhagen, Liv Jakobsen, and Juni Habel). The ethereal atmosphere they create together evokes a distinctly Scandinavian eeriness while TND's dedication to crafting poetic lyrics and vivid storytelling pays tribute to her Irish singer-songwriter roots. The EP's title Agape translates to unconditional, selfless love -- a sentiment that permeates each of the six tracks. This timeless collection of songs aims to be a comforting and cathartic companion for anyone caught in the throes of grief.

If there is one place on earth that has somewhat cradled, hosted or influenced almost each and everything that later formed what we call today as global culture, it is Anatolia. If there is one community that has been (and is still being) shaped with almost every kind of cultural, economic, social, and emotional contrast in the world, it is Turkish people. And if there is one musical genre that can freely embody and disembody each and every thought and feeling that has ever come to man, it is psychedelic music. Turkey has an extremely colorful musical background that is influenced by many different cultures. Below its dull surface covered with commercial productions, the freer depths of Turkey's musical ocean is still vibrant and exuberant with countless young groups pushing the limits of sound and rhythm. Anatolian rock was one of the most authentic and distinctive contributors of the first global psychedelic upheaval in late '60s and early '70s - and it still echoes in the works of Turkish modern rock bands. Indeed, modern Turkish psychedelia is something that is fully connected to the roots of a natively global sense of expression, which can be easily discriminated from other national products such as American garage bands, German krautrock and British psychedelia. The uniqueness of Turkish psychedelia is hidden in the historical and geographical exposure of its musical psyche. Comprised of previously unpublished psychedelic songs by modern Turkish bands, The New Generation Of Turkish Psychedelic Volume I is the first compilation album released by Ironhand Records. The album opens with the aggressive rhythm and raw melodic bass lines of "Profesyonel" by Yarimada, which is the only song with lyrics on the album. The second title, "Lala's Song" by Irtifakaybediyoruz! is a rage of melancholy amidst wisdom and despair. The third title, "Floodgate" by Help! The Captain Threw Up is a moody yet fluent piece that carries influences of psychedelia and post-rock. "Azim", the punchy, clear-cut last title on A side, is performed by Balina from Izmir, a hearty band in love with dark riffs and sorrowful psychedelic sounds. "Ran" by Milankundura, takes the listener to a thought-provoking trip over a cloud of jazzy sounds. And the closing piece, Lopenstraat's 15-minute epic "Hike", is a nerve-shredding adventure in a dusky forest of acoustic and electric sounds.

Double LP version. In May 2015, an assortment of electronic musicians from Pakistan, the Maldives and Germany followed the footsteps of brothers Hannes and Andi Teichmann, otherwise known as Gebrüder Teichmann, the Forever South crew and the Goethe-Institut to meet in Karachi; Pakistan's industrial capital, harbored on the Arabian Sea. A house was remolded into a temporary recording studio. It would become a place to meet, inspire and be inspired, record, play, eat and sometimes sleep. Musicians, together with a photographer convened, and the outcome of two weeks would transpire into the Karachi Files. Karachi Files, a textural collection of electronic fused works is a melange of different cultures, immersed in a fixed space, of which predestined inspiration was taken from its surroundings. The corpulent body of work harmonizes a balance in the elements, delivering a variety of tracks, from electronic club music to electro acoustic experiments, particularly textured including a few more slow-mo and raw. Following the African European Ten Cities project and it´s album release on Soundway in 2014, Karachi Files will be the first release on the Teichmann brother's new label Noland.
Featuring: Rudoh, Alien Panda Jury, Taprikk Sweezee, Natasha Humera,Arttu,rRoxymore, Ramsha, Dynoman, Menimal, Pablo, Hannes Teichmann, Andi Teichmann and Gebrüder Teichmann.

The Super Mama Djombo orchestra, from Guinea-Bissau, West Africa, recorded these songs in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1980. These six archival recordings have been remastered from the original reels and are now available on vinyl for the first time. Super Mama Djombo is one of West Africa's greatest roots orchestras, especially for the people of Guinea-Bissau. The band marked a new national identity and reinvented Portuguese Creole as a language of national unity. Before a nation can become real, it must first be imagined. It is fitting that Super Mama Djombo, the orchestra that has been the cultural stamp of Guinea-Bissau's national identity since independence, was born in the fertile imagination of children. Hailing from a boy scout camp deep in the jungle of late-1960s Guinea-Bissau, Super Mama Djombo's founding musicians have come a long way to display their wonderful music to the world. Drummer Zé, singer Herculano, and original guitar players Gonçalo and Taborda picked the name "Mama Djombo" as an homage to a local goddess revered by independence fighters. The tiny country of Guinea-Bissau is located between Senegal, on its northern border, and Guinea, on its eastern and southern borders. Formerly a part of the mighty Mali Empire, it was then one of the last African countries not to have gained its freedom from Portugal, its colonial power. Hence a fierce war for independence struck the country, until independence was eventually won in 1974, after many years of suffering. In the early 1970s, the Mama Djombo underground orchestra played mostly for secret political rallies supporting the PAIGC, the major independence movement for Guinea and Cape Verde. Adriano Atchutchi became the bandleader after independence, bringing a book full of his songs. Atchutchi recruited singer Dulce Neves, adding creole sweetness to the group's already heady mix of juvenile enthusiasm, candid melodies, and touches of luso-tropicalism.
