Rico Puestel steps up his dub game and delicately reinterprets two songs from his forthcoming 2024 singer-songwriter double-album Anthems For A Lost Generation as Rico Friebe, delivering ten deep and immersive minutes of electronic music on each side. While the original songs have never been designed for the dancefloor, both perfectly blend into the dry and groovy environment of Puestel's remakes and won't lose anything from their original message: Struggle, hope, and friendship.

TITR 001EP

Titrate is a platform for the publication of high-resolution sonic pieces, set out on a path of continual research and exploration. TITR001 comes from hems. Spread across five tracks, the release transits a number of spaces -- from the post-inertia stirrings of "Chaotic Affair", to the cutting and more austere drone layout of "One". Cosmic tech broadcast "Beautiful Weekend With Friends" is a fizzing metamorphosis that melts and mutates itself into "Switching Gears", a darker and more liquid environment. The final track "Stain" concludes the release with a musique concrète touch. With an overall meditative albeit experimental tone, this package is replete with rich textural qualities luring the listener into auditory immersion. 180 gram vinyl housed in reverse board print.

Imperia is not only the first release by 11Schnull, Hamburg-based DJ and producer, but also marks the birth of a new record and design label named Mantra Mantra. It will release electronic music from up-and-coming artists as well as handcrafted merchandising items, created specifically for each new output. On this first EP the title track spans over an epic length of ten minutes and combines an ecclesiastical sample field-recorded in the basilica of Imperia, Italy, with trippy choral soundscapes and hard crashing drums. "Jam des Terrorglobus" is a rough uncut session he held with his friend Baxmann, and a dark and quaky electro piece called "Roofies On Fire", a harsh club banger that could potentially be the last track played at an illegal rave before the "Polizei" shows up. But this part of the story will be told on vinyl only.

The first release on Power Trio, the new label from Ben Nevile. The Montreal-based artist's contributions to music extend into the technical realm as one of the programmers of Max/MSP, the signal processing environment integrated into Ableton. But as a musician in the studio, this artist's work is intentionally not about technology. It's about performing songs that tell a story. The three tracks on this Power Trio record are inspired by physical instruments and acoustic space. The power trio is an 808, a Rhodes piano, and a bass, with stunning saxophone by Erk Hove.

Repress of an in-demand 2009 Rainer Trueby 12". No one is supposed to know this, but rumor has it that this features Trueby teaming up with Danilo Plessow (Motor City Drum Ensemble). These tracks were not intended for official release. A tasty taster from those nice guys.

RTR 001EP

2015 repress; originally released in 2009. Exclusive tracks from Retreat founders Quarion and Session Victim. "A Night at the Zukunft," inspired by the marvelous club in Zurich, opens with shakers and dubby stabs before a tuff beat and the sub-bass drop and Detroit chords rise from the background in response to the initial pads. "Contribute" is an instant floor-filler; the funky guitar and flipping hi-hats introduce a perfect disco loop, featuring counterbeat Rhodes chords and a drunken triangle. The track then breaks down for the sweetest of analog synth bridges before returning to the main pattern with a vengeance.

Paramida, the hostess and DJ behind Salon Zur Wilden Renate's renowned Paradisco Parties, launches her new label Love On The Rocks with a classic time-bender, which takes us on a night trip beyond the deepest galaxies, courtesy of fellow Paradisco resident Massimiliano Pagliara. "Flying Away from You." Driven by a cosmic lead melody and the ethereal voice of Heidi Diehl, Massimiliano also contributes his own half-spoken performance, backed by lyrics co-writer Jules Etienne. The record comes with an instrumental version on the flip.

Produced by Fix (Voorn), one side in collaboration with UR's MIA. Executive producer: Mad Mike. Vorrn is a Dutch techno producer with a long history of Detroit associations (collaborations with Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Black Baxter, releases on KMS, etc.). He strives to imprint his own identity and influences to take the music one step further."
