"In the 1980's, Absolute Grey was part of an indie rock sound that included R.E.M., Rain Parade, Let's Active and Dream Syndicate -- all of whom were fans of Absolute Grey's electric folk rock. Led by vocalist Beth Brown, the band recalled early Jefferson Airplane and Fairport Convention mixed with the modern psychedelic guitar sounds of Echo & The Bunnymen.
