This is volume 6 of Tempa's Dubstep Allstars series, previously featuring mixes curated by DJ Hatcha, DJ Youngsta, Kode9 and N-Type. The sixth volume is curated and mixed by Bristol-based producer/DJ, Laurie "Appleblim" Osborne. Alongside Skull Disco partner Shackleton, Appleblim has forged a sound of his own in both his production and DJ sets affording him interest from Ricardo Villalobos, Radio Slave and Kode9. Herein you'll find music reminiscent of Basic Channel and Renegade Soundwave, as Osborne's selection moves from devastating low-end to knee-bending groove. With his taste falling somewhere between dub and techno, Tempa made the decision to draft in the acutely talented Appleblim in order to showcase another dubstep don, after the dancefloor immediacy of Vol. 05. As with each installment of the Allstars series, the DJ has full control of the selection and as a recognized ambassador of Bristol's musical talent, it's no surprise that Bristolian producers including Pinch, Peverelist and Komonazmuk make up the majority of this CD. The rest of the CD is comprised of tracks from the latest, newest and finest of the dub scene and beyond: 2562, Martyn, Jus Wan, TRG & Selector Dub U, Skream, RSD, Mungo's Hi Fi, Gatekeeper and Geiom.
