Back catalog from the highly touted Border Community label, as run by James Holden. Avus is Scott Edwards (Klang); 2003 release. "'Real' sees Border Community steering down a tech-ier track than previous releases, with twisted head-wrecking samples and an acid bassline to die for. A classic sounding tech-y bassline trip, 'Real' is enough of a journey to please the proggier DJs out there and is funky enough for everyone else. The original mix comes backed with the first remix from Border Community's star find Nathan Fake, whose 'Outhouse' track, the label's second release, put his name on the map as an exciting new young force in dance music. Nathan's interpretation of 'Real' is a slice of tough, techno-tinged mechanical computer funk which retains the acid bassline and epic feel of the original in true Nathan Fake style."
