"The first fruit of David Thomas Broughton's recording sessions (with an incredible album on Plug Research ), this well limited 10" EP features three songs from the bluegrass nuanced Broughton; opening with 'Anchovies,' wherein a dusty backing is given bite through edibly lazy vocals and some high-noon atmospherics. On the back, 'The Window' is a brief rattle of honky-tonk shack based country, whilst 'Liberazione' takes on the Flying Pickets... and consummately wins. If you fell in love with the skewed sensibilities of Antony and the Johnsons and wanted something with an equally memorable slant (but more f*cked up) check this immediately."
