"Its started with a sample from early nineties album Guru's Jazzmatazz and since then 'Bring the Lights Down' has been given house, jungle and garage makeovers. Now its been brought into 2006 with two fresh new dubstep remixes. The first by Dubpolice/Tempa's hot new artist Caspa. Filtered synth pads' sweep in and out of Guru's cries before timestretched vocals give way to dirty axle grinder bass. The thumping tight drums are peppered with spaceship percussion keeping this grinding electro stomper rolling and the dancefloor jumping. Flip over for Soundproof's remix on the AA side, showcasing a different side of dubstep and a fresh dubwise angle for Soundproof's production. Once again the guru is doing his thing but layered with ska guitar and atmospheric sytnths. The lights are brought down and the bass kicks with a big deep sub-line. Its strictly dred bass and rastafari guitar from here on out. A skanking bubbler for the jump up crowd."
