Finally, at catalogue number 009 Chopstick & Johnjon decided to put their best horse into the race and team up with no other than Fritz Kalkbrenner -- the voice behind the early summer anthem 'Sky and Sand' with his brother Paul Kalkbrenner. The beat of the original mix bounces from the first minute on, supporting the chords and the bassline while they work their changes. At the point when Fritz starts the first verse you get this feeling that 'this is gonna be special' and indeed it will be. The catchy chorus and the beauty of everything surrounding it makes you wanna sing along, dance and dream away the night and we didn't get to the break and the strings yet -- yes, there will be strings. So get ready and breathe in 11 minutes of deep feelings and emotions! On B1 is a remix by Marek Hemmann, who had great impact with his productions and remixes on labels such as Freude am Tanzen, Raum Musik and Resopal. You can see how much fun he had working with these vocals! By chopping them up and rebuilding everything with plain piano chords and a rather unique melody line, he converts the emotional original to a dancefloor killer! Till von Sein was our first choice when we thought about a fluffy summer-remix and, as you can hear on B2, he delivered. Spacey vocals, beautiful sounds and the music takes this release into a totally different vibe and direction: Smiling faces on a Sunday afternoon dancing in the sun at an afterhour location or on your own balcony. "Yes, we clearly can't get enough of this track. After showing 'A New Day' to some friends everyone wanted to do a remix so we picked our favourites and throw them at you with another vinyl. Listen closely, here are the interpretations by Stil vor Talent label boss Oliver Koletzki, Mood Music Mascot Sasse bringing along his new artists Penner + Muder and a dub version by Chopstick & johnjon. Starting on A1 is 'A New Dub' -- the dub version by Chopstick & johnjon themselves, taking just a snippet of Fritz' voice to create a house monster. Using a dirty beat and loopy sequences to build it up -- up to that break, where everything finally makes sense. Clearly something for the masses. Sasse on B2 does it a little bit more disco. Using all the melodies from the original with new sounds, he takes the track into a whole new direction. The vocals enjoy a beautiful reverb in this one, dropping off Fritz somewhere far far away. It's funky, it's housy and a little dirty -- that must be that guy from Finland. On A2 we enjoy a mix by Oliver Koletzki giving us a little sneak peak on the style he will bring us with his upcoming album. Amazing chords and melodies put the song on a new level -- may I say on 'a pop level!?' This is so catchy, it won't let you go for a long time. Another remix, another different direction showing how diverse this song is. And last but not least we find Penner + Muder on B2. After some great remixes on Stil vor Talent and Mood we thought we have to let these guys work on this. And we got what we wanted. A house loop that makes you move, building sloooowly up to a magnificent break. Hands up in the air and there we go... That's all we've for this one -- promise!"
