"Cranque aka 'Bastian el Zohbi' is DJ of the techno group 'Einmusik.' 'Augenzeuge' is his first solo record. We describe it as 'Kid Kreole and the Coconuts on acid.' Latin-American rhythms with trill whistle meets minimal outdoor techno like Ricardo Villalobos. With the title track 'Augenzeuge' stands the bass-drum clearly in the foreground and is supported from rhythmic percussion and sound elements, which form the basic structure for melodic dub and rave strings. The redesign of outdoor techno! This track is heavy and floating. A wet and hot sweating body feeling adjusts itself. A 10 o'clock in the morning 'Ectasy' track! 'Motten zum Licht' on the B-side is more clear for the primetime of the long night. Bodies sweating also here, but this time clearly faster and more ecstatic and with much more luck in the eyes.
