"Introducing the first 12" from Eddie K on the Hench imprint -- two chunky slabs of dubstep are in order from this young, talented Bristol-based producer -- this 12" is already a big favourite of Caspa and where this man leads, everyone else follows, so enjoy, and expect more big things from Eddie K in the coming months. First up, staying true to his D&B roots, Eddie K brings us some fresh, fruity jungle flavours, with 'Who's The Hardest.' With a ragga vocal sample and repeated clicking of a trigger in the background -- get your gun-fingers ready for this one, dubstep soldiers -- as the tune smashes into the drop with some heavy bassline action and hard-hitting beats. Bringing the jungle influences into the dubstep sphere, 'Who's The Hardest' has a very strong presence about it -- so, beware cowards! Flip over, for something a little more serious that will definitely give you 'The Shivers.' Kicking off with a bold, brash opening, orchestral strings, and booming beat, the Dr Who-style synth lead, and faded ominous vocal sampling, are spooky and atmospheric. The tune almost twists into the drop with a sudden drum roll spasm, and, as the sci-fi vocal sample repeats, 'this is a journey into music and sound.' With a pounding beat and classic sci-fi effects, 'The Shivers' is a fantastic piece of badness. Already a favourite of Caspa's, as well as big support by other big dubstep players, including: Plastician, N Type, Hatcha and Rossi B, get hold of this as soon as you can -- it's going to be a massive hit."

"These tracks have been causing quite a stir. So tantalizingly disgusting that the likes of Rusko, Sukh Knight, NType, Doctor P, Flux Pavillion, Jakes and Trolley Snatcha can't leave it alone! Eddie K is no newcomer to the dance music scene. Starting out as a drum and bass producer, his debut releases made an impact amongst the scene with tracks such as 'Planet Terror' and 'My Sound' remaining in DJ bags to date. More recently, Ed's been making a significant entry into the dubstep world. His first dubstep release on H.E.N.C.H (Who's the Hardest/The Shivers) had big reactions from all of the top names in the scene, which led up to his next release, his dubstep remix of DJ Prime Cuts ft. MC Dynamite's 'Warning,' released on DSR at the end of 2009. This reached #2 in the Beatport dubstep download chart and was recently featured in the latest installment of Xbox's 'Crackdown' franchise. His latest release sees him collaborate with Hench youngster Minus, along with emphatic appearances by London-based vocalist Beezy, and Bristol's Shadz. If this release doesn't serve as a tribute to the different directions dubstep has taken within recent years, then it certainly acts as proof that Eddie K's sound and production skills have matured quicker than we could have anticipated."
