CNS 003CD
This is the debut full-length release by hotly-tipped Rotterdam-based
Estroe
. The CD consists of tracks produced by Estroe over the span of a few years, in which she spent a lot of time enhancing her production techniques and developing her creativity. As the artist herself explains: "
Some tracks were made in rough times, while others were made under happy circumstances, and perhaps you can tell. For me, music is an emotional vent allowing me to express my feelings and freeing me of my restlessness. This makes the album very personal and I am terribly excited to share it with the world and with you
." Directly inspired by her recent life experiences and passions, "Flirtatious Concubine" was produced right after a particularly-inspiring booking in Tokyo, and "Inspirited Away" came to life thinking about two producers who really inspired Estroe:
Steve Rachmad
and
John Beltran
.
Elemental Assets
is reflective of her DJ-work -- full of versatile techno with room for deep undercurrents as well as pure dancefloor work. Her style is warm, subtle, but at the same time very energetic. Two guest vocalists,
Miss Kittin
and
Sam Leigh-Brown
, also help lift these delicately-crafted tech-house tracks to the next level.

Presenting the second single from
Estroe
's
Elemental Assets
, with interpretations by
Joel Mull
and
Tedd Patterson
. Joey Mull delivers a straight, pumping, but still-melodic dancefloor mover. The "Tedd Patterson Estroe-Glide" rework is a genuine groove-monster that combines classic U.S. techno elements with a strong disco edit feeling. Last but not least, there's the great Detroitish original of "Updraft," which was picked for the add-on CD in the Nov./Dec. issue of Germany's
Groove
magazine.

This is the third single from
Estroe
's
Elemental Assets
full-length (CNS 003CD), with interpretations by
Ripperton
and
Melon
. Ripperton's "Late Night Take #7 Mix" is surprisingly different from his usual productions, and is a piece of very organic, low-slung, addictive groove music. Drifting, melodic patterns and hypnotic keys combined with a phat, low-key bass line provide top-notch spookiness for enlightened dancefloors. Melon's "Winter Depression Remix" is a reduced, percussion-led groover that explores Melon's more melancholic side of things.

CNSS 004EP
"'Driven' is an unsurpassed fusion of the old-schoolish and modern Detroit sound. A hymn dominated by almighty strings and enormously driving percussion elements, perfectly made for deep emotional moments on the dancefloor. A new milestone in Estroe's musical career. Jamie Jones' Pacific Mix dresses 'Driven' into a more deep house-oriented Motorcity outfit. London's newest boy wonder Jamie underlines his outstanding talent with this brilliant string-laden remix, and shows that he will be one of 2007's most important new producers."

NEUM 030EP
"With Estroe from Amsterdam, Neutonmusic is releasing two emotional and exuberant house/techno tracks with handclaps, catchy bass lines and dynamic hi-hats. The remix on the flipside comes from Jamie Anderson, who is currently enjoying the success of NRK''s re-release of his 2004 underground hit 'Time Is Now' featuring a remix from man-of-the-moment, Radio Slave. Jamie has recently collaborated with Jesse Rose for the release of 'Body Jackin' on DJ Hell's Gigolo label. His remix of 'Lovely Sadness' is a 12-minute house workout with a hypnotic, pulsating rhythm and haunting melodies."
