"The debut self-titled album from The Knife's Karin Dreijer Andersson. Now available as a 3 disc deluxe glossy digipack!
Fever Ray
is the title, of both project and album, an evocation of the music's sound, intense and anxious, yet luminous. It's the culmination of work that began in 2007 when Karin and Olof, the brother-sister duo who are The Knife, decided to take time out following a handful of incredible live shows. The result is
Fever Ray
, an album that, while recognizably the work of the same artist, is dramatically different from The Knife. It's still constructed on electronic foundations and embellished with traditional instrumentation (guitar here, congas there)." Includes two bonus tracks, an extra CD of live recordings and a DVD with five videos.

"Turbo is happy to offer up, exclusively on vinyl, Tiga and Seth Troxler's remixes of Fever Ray. Tiga's '1-2-3-4 Remix' of 'Triangle Walks' is, in his words, 'maybe my best remix ever.' It's got a hip hop inflected beat, an Altern8-style rave-airhorn breakdown, and of course the amazing vocals of Karin. Huge reactions on the floor. A 9 on the 'hands-in-the-air' index. Seth Troxler is amazing, incredible producer, DJ, and perhaps most crucially: personality. The sex-addict extraordinaire confesses this track was expressly designed 'to make girls wet.' It's a more melodic thing than he normally goes for, and though it's full of pretty arpeggios, the whole thing has a very unconventional feel, an end-of-the-night fucked up quality that comes, in part, from the off-beat use of the vocal. It's one that has to be heard out to properly appreciate it, but it's a real standout. Both these tracks achieve the rare feat of being 100% effective played LAST in a set. So that's it. Rabid release it all digitally, but only Turbo have the balls to still press the best onto soul-wax for 800 of you to enjoy."
