Echocord proudly releases the fifth full length album by Greece's Fluxion. There's been more than a decade of music since the first 1998 Chain Reaction release by the artist, along with countless artists such as Maurizio and Basic Channel setting the groundwork for what is currently called "dub techno" -- music that crawls under your skin, with no firecrackers or stunts. Fluxion has been as true to his principles as other artists from that era. On Perfused, as the title implies, the sounds are liquid. Bending, turning, blending, streaming, forming, and at the end, grooving in a unique way. Moving into the future with steady dub beats. Proposing to the listener not only to listen to new ways of producing music and sound, but also to open up their ways of listening. The opening "Horizons" creates a warm, slow dub feeling and as it moves through time and space, it creates musical phrases that unveil a breadth of fresh sounds. "Waves" is a pulsating, dub, atmospheric dance track. "Tantalizer" is a dried-out track -- mechanical, organic, while "Inflection" is a cyclic, minimal dub track. "Wabbler" is a live track recorded in one take -- a journey back to the influences of dub. "Elation" is a strong dance track full of energy that slowly builds up in the Fluxion way, always revealing some new stream of sound that comes to the surface. "Fluctuations" is a slow-building, atmospheric minimal track, while on "Inductance," atmospheric sound patterns slowly combine, creating an emotional, futuristic track. Finally, "Perfuse" is a pulsating, slow dub track. The sound patterns emerge steadily, to form one stream. One organic movement, where every part complements the other.

Traces is Fluxion's second album on Echocord. This work is about his travels in music -- the sounds, influences and aesthetics of his actual travels, expectation-journey-destination, alongside the musical influences deriving from them. Through his prism, those sounds, pictures, travels, emotions, etc., left traces of new directions, of future journeys to take. Fluxion captured the motion in his travels with a different feeling on each track. "No Man Is An Island" is an unreleased Dennis Brown vocal version -- an influential song with a clear message. "Desert Nights" evokes desert rock meeting dub in a road movie. "Stations" tells of that special place between destinations -- always a feeling of something promising. "Butiama" is an actual place, where variations and consistency in rhythm is within people's DNA. "Migration" is a new, promising start. These 11 tracks have been carefully selected, opening the dub spectrum as well as reaching other uncharted territories. After a decade in the field of dub, techno and ambient, Fluxion expands his horizons with music that will not fall under one specific territory.

Greek artist Fluxion's (Konstantinos Soublis) first 12" release on Echocord is an escalating reaction between sound and flowing particles -- a dance infusion of deep dub. "Inductance" has a strong dubby platform with shifting elements, leaving the listener wanting more. "Elation" is a more atmospheric track creating strong emotions in a subtle way -- a climax of sounds and harmonics that carries the listener to a higher emotional state. The rhythmic dub base alongside repetitive melodic parts completes the picture.

This is the second EP from Fluxion's Traces album (ECHO 011CD) on Echocord. This work is about his travels in music. The sounds, influences and aesthetic of his actual travels, expectation-journey-destination, alongside the musical influences deriving from them. "Eruption" is maybe the most powerful, deep, dubby track from the album, perfect for the dancefloor. "Motion 3" and "Motion 2" are also beautiful, floating dubby tracks. Finally, Morphosis did a remix of "Eruption" -- pure killer madness for the dancefloor.
