Title: On The Road/Tunog Pinoy
Label: SHADOKS MUSIC (GERMANY)
Format: 2LP
Price: $55.00
Catalog #: SHAD 057LP
"For the first time both rare LP's reissued as a double album. Those 2 albums are the rarest and best LPīs beside Juan De La Cruz Up In Arms. Wally Gonzalez is the amazing heavy fuzz guitarist on all Juan De La Cruz albums. If you like heavy fuzz guitar / prog music similar to Shinki Chen and Speed Glue and Shinki, you will love those 2 albums by Wally. These days Wally is still on the road playing clubs in the Philippines." Last copy.

Title: Tunog Pinoy
Label: VICOR MUSIC (PHILIPPINES)
Format: CD
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: VCD 011CD
Legit reissues from the Philippines, on the same label that originally issued these records. "Axeman and 'quiet member' of the Juan De La Cruz Band, motorcycle and fast car enthusiast, husband of Miss Philippines 1972 -- Wally Gonzalez is a true Filipino musical treasure! During his stint with JDLC Wally released two solo LPs, previously reissued on vinyl by Shadoks and making their first compact disc appearance here, manufactured by the original label and faithfully remastered under the watchful eye of Wally himself. His first, Tunog Pinoy from 1977, is a mix of medium-tempo hard rock and slower ballads, with Wally's clean fretwork plentiful throughout. In keeping with the tenets of the 'Pinoy Rock' movement, all vocals and song titles are in the native tongue save for 'Rock & Roll, Mama', a blistering instrumental."

Title: On the Road
Label: VICOR MUSIC (PHILIPPINES)
Format: CD
Price: $11.00
Catalog #: VCD 012CD
"Wally's second solo release from 1978 steps things up a notch, leading off with 'Kailan Pa Kaya,' a sludgy explosion of powerful drumming and shards of Albini-esque guitar. Another solid collection of 'Pinoy Rock' with improved production over his debut, plus the 'quaint' addition of some wiggy ARP bits that carbon-date everything with astounding precision. Head bangers should start here. Retiring from the scene in the '80s and '90s to help with the family business, Wally recently returned to the stage, a joyous occasion for his legions of fans: 'I'm just here to play the guitar and have fun.' Reissued by the original label, remastering approved by Wally."
