Daniel Haaksman returns with four club ready remixes of his debut EP Who´s Afraid Of Rio? "Parolar De Veso," remixed by Ku Bo (Stefan Mörth, aka Stereotyp), explores Afro-Brazilian music territories and mounts the lyrics of Rio De Janeiro´s MC crew SD Boys onto an uptempo dancehall beat. The B-side features MC Jennifer, remixed by Italian producer Riva Starr and Hong Kong turntablist DJ Beware.

Title: Gostoso EP
Label: MAN RECORDINGS (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $14.00
Catalog #: MAN 039EP
Man Recordings presents Daniel Haaksman's second artist release. On "Kid Conga," Haaksman brings baile funk to the playground, featuring MC Miltinho singing a nursery rhyme over a heavy, tropical beat. "Senta Senta Mais Uma Vez" revisists the anthemic "Senta Senta" track, while "Copabanana" is a booty edit of a 1970s Brazilian disco classic. Rio's MC queen Tati Quebra Barraco shouts out on "Jesus," and "Pobum Coco" pays tribute to Miami bass, with a heavy 808 beat and tropicália guitar. On red-colored vinyl.

Title: Gostoso Remix EP
Label: MAN RECORDINGS (GERMANY)
Format: 12"
Price: $14.00
Catalog #: MAN 042EP
Man Recordings boss Daniel Haaksman returns with various remixes of his acclaimed Gostoso EP release. Edu K delivers a minimal techno-meets-Forró interpretation of "Kid Conga," Chicago's ghetto don Rob Threezy brings the big bass drums in his DJ Rob 3 remix, and João Brasil twists "Kid Conga" into a Tecno Brega track. The B-side opens with a straight four-to-the-floor version of "Deixa Tocar" by Consistent, and Schlachthofbronx reworked "Jesus" in a rough and rugged interpretation -- call it Bavarian Soca Dancehall.
