Label: DRAG CITY
Format: CD
Price: $13.50
Catalog #: DC 294CD
"Great Moments... is the sixth Drag City release by this enigmatic sad sack comedian, an icon to the Young Generation and surely one of the hardest-working men in show business. Described by one early-bird critic as Neil's Sgt. Pepper, this unusual documentary album ushers in a new era of Hamburger, as the dirty jokes are put aside (not literally) to showcase a more reflective, nostalgic side of Neil."

Title: Sings Country Winners
Label: DRAG CITY
Format: CD
Price: $13.50
Catalog #: DC 363CD
"America's hardest working, most profoundly suffering Funnyman returns with his eighth Drag City release. No two Neil Hamburger albums have ever been alike, but this one will throw even the staunchest fan for a loop: Neil Hamburger sings country and western. As with the classic 'celebrity vocal' album by the likes of William Shatner and Telly Savalas, Neil's personality shines through, even when his vocal chords don't. Seven originals and three obscure covers pack in a maximum of storytelling and pathos in the tradition of the late great Porter Wagoner. On this once-in-a-lifetime release, Neil is backed up by a 'too good for Neil Hamburger' band who ensure that the sound is vintage country rather than unwanted novelty -- or worse yet, the universally-hated sound of contemporary country radio."

Title: Western Music And Variety
Label: DRAG CITY
Format: DVD
Price: $15.00
Catalog #: DC 382DVD
"Following in the footsteps of celebrity Greats such as Telly Savalas and Leonard Nimoy, in 2008 'America's Funnyman' Neil Hamburger temporarily set aside his bag of laughs in order to entertain his audiences through the ancient medium of song. His well-received album Neil Hamburger Sings Country Winners was followed up by a 9-city tour, at which Neil and his all-star band (including Prairie Prince of The Tubes, Atom Ellis of The New Cars and Dieselhed, and country guitar ace Dave Gleason) put on a nearly two hour long variety revue, chock full of music and the kind of laughs that Hamburger fans are accustomed to. The tour ended with an invitation-only Fourth of July gala event at Hollywood's famed Radio Recorders Recording Studio, Studio E, hosted by the infamous radio personality Dr. Demento. This legendary room was where Elvis recorded 'Jailhouse Rock' and All Shook Up,' Bobby Darin recorded 'Mack The Knife,' and Bing Crosby recorded 'White Christmas.' As luck would have it, within days of this performance, the property was shut down, locked and boarded up, with destruction imminent. Hollywood's longest-running (since 1933), most-historic recording studio is slated to be torn down to make room for a restaurant, can you imagine that? Thus this show, carefully captured on out-of-date film by a vagrant group of UCLA grads, takes on added historical significance. The film of the Radio Recorders gig, now titled Western Music and Variety, is an accurate, entertaining document of Neil Hamburger's foray into the world of Bakersfield-style country and western. In addition to three short sets of the jokes Hamburger built his reputation on, the film features the 'live and dirty' versions of many of the songs heard on his popular LP album, as well as a dramatic reading of The Bee Gees' 'I Started a Joke.' The DVD also includes plenty of bonus material to satisfy the entertainment needs of the financially-devastated consumer." 87 minutes, NTSC All-Region DVD.

Title: Hot February Night
Label: DRAG CITY
Format: LP
Price: $15.00
Catalog #: DC 437LP
"Who says there are no second acts in show biz? The same person who claimed there's no crying in comedy, probably -- and Neil Hamburger has proven him wrong once again. Left for dead more than once in a career that has spanned literally decades, Neil is back on top and waiting for that next wave that will supposedly pull him under again. In 2007, Neil Hamburger experienced what some would call the high point of his career to date, playing Madison Square Garden and other big arenas of performance infamy all around the United States. This was no miracle; after all, people weren't coming to see Neil; he was opening for popular rock act Tenacious D. Once the crowds heard some of his classic routines, however, Neil gained a great deal of exposure -- exposed once again as America's Funnyman in front of roaring crowds of Americans. Naturally, there were a few bad apples in the barrel, and Neil did what any professional would do -- slaying the hecklers with their own sword of crass, unmannered profanity. Fortunately, his drink rider was above average, which helped considerably in getting through the days and nights that make up Hot February Night. Now it's your turn -- fire up the hi-fi and place this special phonograph LP on the platter. Then mix a couple drinks and listen to America's Funnyman, Neil Hamburger, as he lives and dies the comedy life that all the greats have lived too. Hot February Night is truly a brush with greatness. What will Neil do for an encore?"
