This is the debut full-length release by Zurich's Michal Ho (vinyl-only for now), bringing you eight firecrackers which will ignite every club, worldwide. Michal Jan Tomas Holy is one of the hottest young producers in the European house music scene. As the "Michal" in Samim & Michal, he is responsible for a ton of bigtime releases and remixes for Kindisch, Get Physical, Textone, and a string of hot solo 12"s. Last year, his Econoclast EP was one of 2007's most playable 12"s, with four amazing and diverse tracks, all bringing something new to the minimal house scene. For 2007, Michal turned his attention to the Junion label, releasing the Cassecade EP. Already played by Mobilee's Anja Schneider and Ralf Kollmann, this 12" showed that Michal is a producer who you cannot underestimate. With a different bag of tricks for each track, this EP had more styles on one piece of wax than most producers manage to do with five or six. Michal Ho returns to Tuning Spork for his first release of all new material since last fall's highly acclaimed Screw the Coffeemaker album. Michal is sticking to what he likes best: stripped-down, funk-infused club tracks. "Groove to Me" features Jamaican-born JonJon's soulful vocals chopped up and subverted into oblivion. "Bootyjazz" is underscored by a slinky descending bassline and interjections of sax synth, while "Jack It Out" has a more percussive swagger.
