This is the first-ever CD release of UK cult singer-songwriter John Jones' 1971 obscurity, Collage, now remastered in a 24-bit remaster and including two bonus tracks. Prior to forming his own progressive rock band Jonesy, John Jones recorded this solo album for the German BASF label. Collage was cut at Command Studios in London, featured Australians Alan Tarney and Trevor Spencer (both ex-Quartet) and the British/American Jamie Kaleth. It was a textbook melodic singer/songwriter affair, peaking with "Live In 2," a track that proves Jones' skill with the guitar. This is a hidden gem for fans of mellow and dreamy acoustic folk, lightly Beatles-ish. Brilliant tunes and fantastic mastering. If you're in need of a good "silent" SSW rock album, this is the one. Housed in a paper sleeve, including liner notes written by the artist himself and rare photos.
