London-based DJ and producer Gamal Kabar makes his debut on Poker Flat White with "The Filth," a pumping and hypnotic techno tune. "Critical Times (We Are Fucked)" is a brilliantly reduced floorshaker with freaky synths. The 3Channels duo add a remix, keeping the driving tightness of the original while adding new beats to the track. They rearranged Gamal's freaked-out synths and built them back up again subtly, letting them erupt in raw, uncontrolled peaks.
