Of all the dances popular with the hip young people of the '60s -- the popcorn, the tighten-up, the bend-over, the Heston, etc. -- the Latin rhythms of boogaloo music still remain enjoyably listenable without having to strap on your irony helmet. It's unclear if the same thing can be said about the "Shing-A-Ling," but this record features covers of "The Party Is Over," "Fly Me To The Moon," "A Place In The Sun" and "In The Midnight Hour."
