One of the more overlooked masterpieces in the whole I.D.M. scene (I hate that name). But a masterpiece in techno history. Mark Pritchard took things further where the original innovators from Detroit stopped. A perfect combination of beautiful and forward thinking music without forgetting about what brought all of us into this music: the excitement for beats that make you move! No need to say this is an essential collector's item (goes for top prices on eBay due to its very limited original release back in 1993). Played by Richie Hawtin, Aphex Twin, Autechre, Dave Clarke and many others!"

Evolution was launched at a time when only a few like-minded people were releasing music. Labels such as Art, Rephlex, Eevolute, and artists such as B12, Aphex Twin, Black Dog and Autechre. The music was all basically inspired by Detroit and together started the first wave of electronica (as it was later termed). Classic!!"
