"Staffan Linzatti, who would think this is a guy from Sweden? But it's true. Living in Gothenburg he produces finest minimal techno. Side A is a real floor burner -- 'doctor vs. con' is spinning one of these constantly drilling sound structures, which are slightly pushed to the background from time to time by soulful balanced breaks. You recognize the young Linzatti gained his experiences right in the clubs. The B-side continuous as floor-compatible as the A. 'Never Ride' is for everybody who likes the straight stuff better. 'Steal the medical supplies' starts again with 'frickel', but builds up a straight groove coming more and more to the foreground. This record is a must have DJ-Tool."

Staffan Linzatti's "Absence Of Waypoints" does not follow his previous dry, minimal path, but reveals Linzatti's development to a sound of more spatial depth and a wider atmosphere. In contrast, the Pär Grindvik remix on the flip starts almost intimately. Due to a different percussion set and a subtle vocal by Simon Haydo, you feel very close to the music. Later on, the atmosphere opens up without losing the drive.
