For three years now, the Green & Blue Open Air at Waldschwimmbad Obertshausen hosts the most beautiful parties in Germany. In order to preserve the unique mood of the party in between the big trees and cool pools, the sets of Ibiza shooting star Loco Dice and Cocoon darling Ricardo Villalobos, including the atmosphere, have been recorded and are here released as a double mix CD. From hip-hop star to successful house DJ, producer and remixer, Loco Dice had toured the clubs worldwide as a rapper and DJ. Besides his residencies at Tribehouse (Neuss) and DC10 (Ibiza), he plays the most important clubs and events worldwide. His style is characterized by a deep and groovy house sound, which he calls chunky. His own productions as well as his remixes for artists like Timo Maas or Mousse T. make him a popular producer and remixer. Since the early '90s, Ricardo Villalobos has been building an impressive discography of 12" releases on respected dance labels like Playhouse and Perlon. A minimalist at heart, he has trotted the globe to study percussion in order to apply his knowledge to his productions, which almost always sound remarkably expansive despite their simplicity. In addition to his own solo material, he has recorded with fellow expatriate Dandy Jack as Ric y Martin and with Luciano as Sense Club. Two excellent mixes -- 2002's Love Family Trax and 2003's Taka Taka on Cocoon Recordings -- have been released, but the apex of his career appears to be Alcachofa, a 2003 full-length released on Playhouse. A second full-length, Le Thé Au Harem D'Archiméde, arrived on Perlon in 2004.
