"This is the first release on the Berlin-based imprint Best Works Records. Best Works Records is a collaboration between producer and DJ Andre Lodemann and the A&R/promoter Daniel W. Best, also known for his work with Jazzanova and Best Seven Records. The track 'Searchin' had a long journey to reach its present state. Originally Lodemann created the track together with Daniel Ramm from Pikaya as a moody down-tempo album track. Later he recognized the tracks potential, transforming it into a more uptempo dance track with a housey feel. Nathalie Claude, a Swiss jazz singer, lent her voice and lyrics to the production. The trained vocalist met Andre through a mutual friend. Andre Lodemann's original version combines analog warmth with electronic production. Charles Webster, a long time contact from Daniel's event-business and a favorite remixer, delivers the remix. Again, a typically Charles Webster mix: interesting usage of vocals, deep hypnotic bass.
