Title: Colours
Label: LILITH (RUSSIAN FEDERATION)
Format: CD
Price: $20.00
Catalog #: LR 105CD
"Although probably best known for her implication in the 1976 shooting death of her boyfriend Olympic skier Spider Sabich, this sexy French chanteuse / overall swingin' chick released a string of sophisticated pop albums in the late sixties while married to long forgotten Vegas crooner / TV star Andy Williams. Claudine's albums have long been cult favorites among fans of the genre and Colours, Longet's fourth album, originally released in 1969 by A&M, is probably also her best. Featuring breathy versions of songs by Donovan, The Everly Brothers, Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, and Randy Newman."

Title: Sugar Me
Label: LILITH (RUSSIAN FEDERATION)
Format: LP
Price: $24.00
Catalog #: LR 155LP
180 gram vinyl, gatefold sleeve. "We are happy to announce the release that we have all been waiting for: Claudine's last album, Sugar Me, previously only released in Japan on CD, now on vinyl! The Sugar Me album has a long history. It originally should have been released as Claudine's third album for Andy Williams' Barnaby Records label in 1974, but it was shelved, due to Claudine's waning popularity as a singer. Her first two albums, released on Barnaby at the beginning of 70s, were perfect examples of easy listening pop music, but did not sell in the age of rock music. A small independent label, Century Records, reissued these two albums in 1993, and a few other tracks were discovered. The original master tapes of the album unfortunately were lost, but the missing tracks were replaced by some previously unreleased tracks and some unfinished studio outtakes that were discovered in the Barnaby archives. The track list is the same as the CD version, but the vinyl release will have 2 bonus tracks from her 1971 single 'Canta En Espanol,' placed at the end of each side. These two tracks were newly mastered and sound significantly better (and are even a bit longer) than on a previous release. Please note that there will be no CD version this time -- only vinyl. Featuring original artwork, lyrics and rare pictures."

Title: Hello, Hello: The Best Of...
Label: REV-OLA (UK)
Format: CD
Price: $16.00
Catalog #: CRREV 119CD
"Claudine Longet: the very model of the breathy, sexy French waif as the U.S. and world audience perceived her... film star, TV star, singer/notsinger... a fey presence in a beautiful forest, where The A&M Sound enveloped her in an embrace of Bossa Nova and reverb... while Nick De Caro and Tommy Lipuma, masters of The A&M Sound took us all on a journey into sound... where being a singer or not a singer didn't matter as long as the languid erotic vibe was there....where A.C. Jobim came and wrote and played...where there was a PARTY....and Henry Mancini wrote, as he had done for Audrey Hepburn, the perfect song/notsong, for the ethereal beauty Claudine to sing/notsing as Peter Sellers desperately searched for the bathroom and Blake Edwards collapsed laughing... a magical person in a magical world, in a magical time... 'Sleep Safe And Warm' never had a more definitive reading, as Claudine brought her own take on 'vaga' to the non-Latin world...First time CD collection of Claudine's finest moments."

Title: Cuddle Up With Claudine Longet
Label: VAMPISOUL (SPAIN)
Format: CD
Price: $16.50
Catalog #: VAMPI 002CD
2003 release. Never mind how many ethereal, bewitchingly songs Claudine Longet recorded, this marvelous French singer has always been remembered for the tabloid-fit events surrounding her personal life. In 1976 she was convicted of "criminally negligent homicide" in the shooting which killed her boyfriend, skiing star Spider Sabitch. Some people remember her marriage to crooner Andy Williams, and most remember her career as an actress -- consisting of a TV series and a co-starring role in a Peter Sellers' movie The Party. But her musical career has remained unfairly obscured through the years, except for connoisseurs of smooth and sophisticated sixties pop. And here's this superb collection to change this! The CD includes all the tracks from her We've Only Just Begun album (except one), all the tracks but three from Let's Spend the Night Together, and six tracks from the Sugar Me rarities album. The 2LP set adds seven tracks not found on the CD. This means that this reissue contains the "richest" moments of her career: covering Neil Young, The Stones, The Beatles, Beach Boys, etc. and her own songs in her own exquisite manner.
