$25.00
Catalog #:
BT 5005LP
Pastoral, hermetic UK-acid folk from this member of UK psych-pop outfit Orange Bicycle, originally released in 1970. Despite his questionable choice in renaissance pajama-garb on this album's cover, Wil Malone is the same prolific orchestral arranger responsible for the strings on Massive Attack's "Unfinished Symphony," as well as work with Black Sabbath, Depeche Mode, and too many others to name. "This album was released in 2009 through
Record Collector
in the UK and is now available to retail. 180 gram audiophile vinyl edition of this much sought after 1970 album. A psych classic that brings to mind the trippy side of Donovan. Putting the ACID in 'acid folk.'" On light blue vinyl.

Death Line OST
Label:
SPINNEY (UK)
Format:
CD
Price:
$18.00
Catalog #:
SPINN 002CD
"The Spinney label follows up the acclaimed Vashti Bunyan album with the previously unreleased soundtrack to
Death Line
.
Death Line
the movie was released in 1972 and was directed by Gary Sherman. It starred Donald Pleasance and Christopher Lee and is an eerie horror story set in the London Underground. Wil Malone has been composing and arranging music for over 4 decades, was a member of Uk psych combo The Orange Bicycle and has been responsible for some of the most sublime string & bass arrangements to come out of the UK. The strings on Massive Attack's
Unfinished Symphony
were his work as was the Verve's 'Bitter Sweet Symphony' (with a little help from Andrew Oldham). He has also worked with Depeche Mode, UNKLE, Black Sabbath, Gomez, Shack, Dido, Faithless, Kylie Minogue."
